How good is CavaleRO?

@Yukino, i have put a lot of time and resources into Cavalero, and from not having any sense of game administration to creating something i enjoy playing was a long road. Valid it has been a roller coaster ride. But im sure not every strong server was successful on the first go. Many well rounded servers have had there share of up and down headaches and thats the process of developing. It was tough getting to these stages, and i wish i had gotten it on the first go. But it is what it is. Development will continue, in hopes of bringing a paradise to players in the future.

@fetus, i cant speak for Wynn. You guys started your own project and as you know i had no input on it. That was your guy's own project even tho it was under the Cavalero name. All i know is Wynn put a lot of hard work into Trans server and it was becoming a very successful server. While Wynn had been working continually, on that project for about 6 months.. and Yes i would have loved to see it fully blossom, but i didn't have a hand in its development so if his studies got in the way of his development. That is between him and his players. Even tho Cavalero will now be in wounds because of it.

Cavalero will continue to progress in its development. You fall and get back up, its the process of growth and maturity. Regardless of what others think, thats what i intend on doing. Theres only one way to strive to success. -Learn from your faults, study your strengths and build it better.

You don't just put a server down, make another one up and waste the donations made by players (I know people who just donated and got it wasted). If you could kindly give it back to those who wasted donation money even back to cavRO v1 thinking it would be up for a long time then just putting it down cause "you feel like it". That's not called Working and Developing, that's called stealing people's money in one way or another.

Additionally, cleaning yourself from the mess is pretty bad too. You actually put the server down for a while cause you thought Wynn was stealing money from you. You just plain out put the server down for no reason at all - is that called a good server owner? And no sorry. No one will play your server anymore. Good luck.

He's also ranting how I make decisions for myself without him?Well, where the hell is he anyway? He doesn't even go active in the server and just do mainte and ask Sunlive about it (who I think is the worst person you go to to ask for advice). You can ask the players there who they'll side with and I'd be damned if they go with Wynn.

He didnt put the server down because he "felt like it",  aside from the 1k spams he recieved from you while finishing his exams, RL got in the way. And as far as "Selling the server to you" as you requested in msn, i cannot do. eAmod is a product not mine to sell, áswell as the server files, actually none of it is. -really . And yes donations went to the development of the server and server hosting cost. Yes ive always fronted the money for the hosting, because well, i play and develop there. Along with the other 3k ive put into Cavalero development . So the issue of Wynn "stealing money" wasn't the issue, trust of a trustworthy development partner was. Seeing as you already know, the black market and scams in RO is insaine. And your pissing contest on who "owned the community" more is irrelevent, players play where they want to play. Whether or not you think you are the "donkey carrying all the weight". So your sensitivity of the individual player seems to be more of a harvesting of the masses. 


My suggestion to you would be to develop a server, since you have all the answers of a pro server .

One, I did not even give the project to you at first but Wynn was too persistent.
Two, I spammed his MSN because he keeps saying "I'll do maintenance later" but then he won't show up until the actual maintenance.
Three, I always say that I am not capable of developing a server because I am true to myself, that I do not have the ability and do not have the skill to be able to make one, as well as the time to preserve one.

The problem with that is that Wynn specifically told me that he will commit to the server with its full features. Additionally, who said I was rushing things?I already told him what needs to be done and it was even 2 weeks due, you can ask anyone else.

Anyways, this argument is useless. You are on your high horse so good luck with your server. Heh. For one, he doesn't really need to develop the server while he has his exams and I understood. The past few days I wasn't even messaging him to do things cause I know he's busy with school and so was I.

Well, I am entitled to my own opinion and I'm saying you and Wynn are not trustworthy. That's basically it, even if you state any facts idc I'm just stating what I believe in. Got that?

And no, what I'm saying about the insensitivity is the inappropriateness of the death of the server. For example, if you were a player, wouldn't you be drunk-donkey-pissed if you were playing on a server, donated in it 2 days ago, then closes down? That's beyond annoying. Especially when the other people worked their butts off for that server.

I already understand that you put a lot of resources into your server (especially money with those designs lol), but your server seems to be down as soon as it comes back up. If you know that you are not ready to maintain a server, then don't bother. Even if it's your passion and it's for the sake of the other players, if you value school or real life stuff (that happens constantly) over the RO server, you already know where your dedication lies. You'd be playing around with your players' feelings and enthusiasm.

Seems like after our conversations that you feel more motivated to take care of your server? Better consider your school work first... before you hop right to that. This goes for any staff member there.

I do see that the other server is still online (with an errored coding on the website). Is that going well? Maybe you can give the donation items back to the players from the other server if they are interested in joining this one.

Nevertheless, I would say, if you don't have enough resources (including time), stick to having one server for now instead of 2, 3, or a billion. You should be successful with one before you start off another. Anyways, good luck on your end I guess!

If you server goes down then you decide to bring it up then decide to shut it down once you bring it back up (like Yukino mentioned), your wasting your time, especially player's time. No one wants to come back to a server that keeps shutting down and coming back up.. might as well go to a server that's stable and up more times than being down.

I personally feel that working with 2+ or more Administrators is stupid, especially if you DONT KNOW each other PERSONALLY (or in real life). Both of you have different views of the server and where it heads. If both of Administrator heads are not in the same road and thinking whats best for the server.. there's no point on having to Administrators..

Regardless, there is proof that the server owner has had several attempts with CavaleRO (which none of them did last that long, less than half a year each time?). Anyways, that's why some people offered advice because we don't like it when server owners think they can get players so easily, especially when they played around with some people's trust and anticipation of such a server. Loyal players must have a hard time (regardless of how loyal they are) after trying to join the server at least 3 times? Even one of the staff members have voiced this issue in the same way (Fetus).

Anyways, good luck with any future attempts, and hopefully, you learned from the previous experiences and also from what we had to say here.

You can't just compare 2 different things and say that one is better then the other when one of them is purely made for people that want fights and the other for the casual player that likes the fight feature a bit too. Not that I will ask for your experience beyond this since this thread isn't about LimitRO but rather CavaleRO.
As long as you didn't have any biased views ahead of time before trying LimitRO and then posting here... Meh.

Though, we are sort of discussing how good the server is XD in the sense of providing criticism regarding its closure and other previous aspects of the server.
