Officially it is called as revo classic or restart. There is 1 or 2 revo classic that i know. One of it is ragnaroksea.com. Basically, the system use renewal mechanic for all, except for some thing like exp table, hp, exp monster still use classic. Flee/hit is adjusted to cater server with only 2nd job and no new world yet.

relax, i was just asking out of pure curiosity

and what can i say, i've always been a big fan of the disguise event because it's a reflex and typing speed based game. is there something wrong with that? and why are spying on my requests in hercules?

I think it depends on what you mean as "balanced." Renewal monsters all seem to feel the same to level on imo. Aside from MvPs, every leveling area feels pretty much identical as you progress through the levels.

I think the pre-renewal monsters, for the most part, are more balanced. There are some outliers though that provide a ridiculously high EXP:HP ratio or happen to provide too much EXP due to how easy they are to kill. I think you'd be better off just adjusting some of the monsters in pre-renewal rather than trying to use the renewal monsters on a pre-renewal server if you want to retain that pre-renewal uniqueness with the perceived balance of renewal monsters.

what does "feel the same to level on" mean? aren't you talking about a completely different problem?

I mean that all monsters in your level range tend to reward the same EXP, take the same number of hits to kill, have the same HP, etc. It's more than just an EXP problem, but EXP is definitely part of the "feeling the same to level on."

The best mix I think is using renewal system but pre-re monster database. But its only my personal preference :)
