Whats the best way for Non Donators to obtain cashpoints?

Mini Games!
Quests!
Houly Cash Point Giver, can't be idle for more than 5 ~ 10 minutes.
Psh, people should have to donate REAL money!
Voting for the server!  [ Top 100/200, whatever sites those are, not RMS]
I don't care, as long as I can get me some free cashpoints!  Booyah!

Hay guise,

Again pokin you about things you sometimes think about.

So here recently a friend of mine was talkin to me about a server that was going to make it to where only people who donate can get stuff from the 'cash shop'.  And I thought.  Well psht, that's kinda unfair!  Not everyone can donate, ya know?

I try to play on servers where I have a fair chance to obtain some cash points without emptying my wallet!  What are you guy's views on that?  I, honestly, have only ran across a select few who believe ' in order to recieve donation rewards you should pay ' kinda deal.

I believe that non donars should have a -hard- but not -too hard- of a time getting cash points.  What about you guys?

And I don't wanna hear, donation shops blow yada yada.  This isnt about if you like / dislike donations.  Its about your view on obtaining cash points without actually paying.

Foxx

i would have to say mini games/events.
that would be the most fair way to give out cash points.
cause everyone has the chance to win.

Chemical Crush

I agree! But technically so does quests, everyone can do quests and get points :D  But I think it should be a fair chance for everyone to get some free cash points.  Also voting technically lets anyone get them, IF YOU VOTE xD  I've seen this done too, But I usually vote for a server if I like it/remember to vote.  Hehe. :3

Purr

I prefer a server where donations or "cash shop items" can be obtained in-game.

Erebus

When making servers, I prefer to have it where the donate shop items = kafra/vote shop items, to 90% degree, certain things would require a donate but dont impact the game and then add in to my random event reward boxes, a switch chance for cash points

Well I figure that, but I mean how would you prefer to obtain them xD

I really hate it where servers make all the cash shop items DONATE only D:  Its just really discouraging!

a reason vote for points and quests wouldn't be such a good idea is that you can bot quests (regardless of how much protection a server has against bots) and you can change ip address to vote multiple times.

Good point!  Although so many people use the vote system  D:

well it's easier to abuse the vote system due to less chances of getting caught, unlike botting.
though i will admit both are great ways to get cash points, but the downsides outweigh the positives.

Edit to reply to that down there: your quite welcome

Yeah I see what you mean :(
I've actually never seen cash points given out by quests.  It was just a thought I had xD  Usually I see it by mini games or events.  :3~  Or like I said the vote system anyways ty for your feedback ;p

Doesn't matter to me. The server i'm currently playing has daily quests, recipes, crafting, events, ect... So many ways to obtain them. They also added this app/survey thing so us non-donors can earn cash for our accounts to donate o.o? Something like that.. I suck at explaining. xD

Well that's very awesome of them, i've noticed some servers are very stingy with handing out cash points ;p

That's why you make the vote4points a "non tradable currency" like the "free cash points" that's already in the game. Sure they can spam the system with 100 alt account's, but they are going to have to do it for about a month just as someone who is voting regularly would. It's a bit discouraging on the spam voters end if the v4p is a non tradable currency.

If people are able to bot major quest and get away with it then your GM's are doing a terrible job.

Well the "best way" you mean for players?

Because I see the best way for players is not always the best way for server owner/staff.

Mini-games / events need staff attention or moderation sometimes.  People on different timezone might miss it.

Quest is a more fair way because everyone can do it at different time but scripting entertaining quests for players to get cash point isn't exactly the "best way" for server staff.  It's not as efficient as V4P or hourly point.

Hourly point will add stress to player to stay non-idle and stay in game, make the server less enjoyable unconsciously more or less.

V4P is painless but I have the impression that they give peanuts compare to what actually is needed to get something in the cash shop.  Each vote is worth like 1 penny so it take weeks or months to get something?  I don't know.

Well I always view it like this, donators get the points faster and because people aren't able to donate or refuse to, they have to work HARD for their points.

My question really was, whats the best for players, what do they prefer doing to get said free cash points.  I never expect ingame means of obtaining cash points to be easy, cause they really shouldn't be lol.

But you're right, the v4p is usually very little points.  Its so you keep voting and keep promoting the server so you get whatever item/items it is you want out of the store.
