partially because this is aimed for low rate servers, so naturally, there are no mvp rooms :/

thanks for the input tho !

now they gonna make what? 2-3 classes? are they mean to be the trans after trans? meaning the non-adv are gonna be even more easy to die? and adv will get their share of the doom pie?  damn.

from what i understand the new classes are like an alternative trans, so normal trans classes cant change into them, only a 99 2-1 2-2 character can.

How they make the game is how it is made, not how the user wants it to be.
If you don't like the way they made it, don't play it, or make it like you want it.
They made it to be played a certain way, not however you want it to be played.
You miss the point? People are entitled to have their opinion on what is broken with the current RO system. Specially if they have played since beta days, they should have a right to complain on how they do not like the way RO has come and gone.

Saying "gravity made it that way so accept it and shut up" is not... very... uhm. Nice. Not what you said? I guess, but "make it like you want it" is not exactly what this thread is about? I find it pointless and out of touch to refuse people their opinion on these matters o_O;
They complain it is broken, how can it be broken if that is how they made it?
They made it that way for a reason.
I'm not trying to be mean, just honest, hearing people complain that something is broken, or it isn't how they want it to be like gets old and annoying.

Don't make my topic a drama fest please.
Gravity did some deficient changes that can potentially break the balance between characters and we don't want that.
eAthena devs did some mistakes too on skills & scripts  and monster behavior etc..
This topic's goal is to gather those information so i can work on them; that's all there is to it -_-

But isn't by your own logic, saying that Windows is not broken, it is not a bug, a feature? It is broken on a different sense.

On the previous page, someone said that Advanced classes broke RO, I completely agree with that being the first step down for RO as a MMORPG. It was a nice little MMORPG like any other, with its standard level grinding and equipment, but nothing too big. THEN it became this... THING that rewards the grinder ridiculously more than any normal human being!

Yes, why would advanced classes be much better than standard classes? Because you need to play the whole game twice, and the second time even a lot more, to justify all their power? But why would you EVEN want players to play the whole game twice with each character!? Appealing to the grinder, no doubt.

A SENSIBLE person would had NOT created advanced classes (the very sprites try to be leet on a game that originally had CUTE characters!), we should have gone with 2-3 classes instead! Or even add a whole new tree like TK.

Enough ranting, you get the point. RO is not broken for the korean player who values their grinding prowesses to be rewarded, but for us, the rest of normal human beings, it is totally broken for any casual player.

Mah but on 4x rates, it is easy, even for non-grinders to become high lvl.

Window? o.0
Like I said, they made it to be played a certain way, it isn't broken if it is designed that way.
It has bugs, yes, but they fix those, if exp rates were a problem, they would have changed the rates, but they haven't.
Grinding is just what you have to do to achieve something, it were easy, it wouldn't be a fun game, it would lose it's fun far too fast. Sure there is pvp, WoE, and all, but where is the fun in not working for your achievements? You might as well have cheated.

Look at the military, people don't get handed an E-7 ranks for the hell of it, they have to bust their donkey for 20 years to get there. On a lower scale, getting to level 99/70 on a Clown, Sinx, High Priest, Sniper etc. is the same thing, you have to work for that rank, or class.

Other people have their opinion though, so they can think as they will, I just don't agree with them. And as someone else stated, to keep this a dramaless thread, I will not return with my responses.

It's odd you say that considering all three servers in your signature are rather customized. If RO's good as it is, why change it?

Quotefrom what i understand the new classes are like an alternative trans, so normal trans classes cant change into them, only a 99 2-1 2-2 character can.

Nope - both normal and transcended second jobs can become third jobs.

Quotei think the advanced classes broke the balance between classes.

I see where you're coming from, but if there would be no transcendent classes, then the game would be simply too short. On low-rate you can get to level 90 in a week with a melee class no problem, and ranged classes have it even easier. And once you hit 90 your second job is maxed out and you pretty much can battle any level on equal footing since 9 levels is not that big of a difference. And once you reach 99, what point is there to continue playing? Transcendency gives you a new goal to reach.

It is true hovewer that normal classes will simply get owned by their transcendent counterparts. Maybe if they separated the two somehow, with different WoE and PvP for both, normals would be more than just a way to level 99.

horo

yea it's like normal lvl 99 doesn't mean anything anymore now that there's trans classes. i wish that wouldn't be so, but what can you do.

Raou

It would be interesting to see a medium or low rate in which you change your novice directly to a high novice and go through the normal tree process but with transcendent characters.  Hype, the server I used to run was a high rate with that process, but for a high rate it only serves to save a bit of time.  I don't think I'll ever play a medium or a low rate again, but if I did i think it would be really cool to just skip non-trans.

dook

i think in large servers there is much more a sense that you are a small cog in woe, and people woe pretty well at lvl 80+ as you are part of a large force. smaller servers there is more of a need to be self sufficient, both in pvp and pve, so the old non trans classes start to look weak in comparison.
