Biggest servers?

What are the biggest active private servers out there right now for each category? Low, mid, high rate?

Not sure about the other rates, but I skimmed some of the servers listed in the SHR rankings really quick and it looks like my server (InertiaRO) might have the highest population right now (I didn't check that thoroughly, so I'm not 100% sure; I just checked the highest ranked servers). Our online count typically ranges between 200-250 at the moment.

Don't forget those latin/spanish servers! Some do have 1k+ and I think there was one from Chile with 2k+.

Remember that this game is dead. You should be grateful if there's actually anyone playing your server, assuming your server is new. Because most people who still play RO nowadays tend to stick to their old, low-rate server because they're proven stable, instead of insecure, donation-hungry new servers.

i'd say talonRO has the highest population 1k-ish (low rate)
but that server is 7-8 years old and the amount of gods/mvp cards are already overflowing (just sayin')

Even if we assume some kind of perfect admin exists, always available, always fixing bugs within a day, always making the right decisions, I doubt he will "Easily get 500 players".

I usually check old/new server's to check their player count and I check forums to check their activity as well.

From my own observation and from Ratemyserver reviews I gathered the following info:

Low Rates: TalonRO 1.1k~1.5k
Mid Rates: RebirthRO 950~1.25k
High Rates: DreamerRO 850~1.25k
Super HR: DareDevilRO & InertiaRO 180~300

There are some others servers but as far as I know these ones have the largest active communities right now. (apologies if im not 100% accurate)

Don't new "hyped" servers reach 300+ on like their first day?  Getting 500 players shouldn't be an issue for some perfect admin.

Yeah, but the real challenge would be getting those 500 players to stay on the server for more than a month or two.

Well they're just talking about getting the players, though keeping them shouldn't be a problem for a FINAL FORM PERFECT ADMIN.

No, that's not true. Even if the admin does everything right those players will leave. I've seen it with some servers. They don't leave because of bad administration most of the time. Usually it's one big guild leaving because it can't dominate PVP anymore. Then other guilds leaving because there isn't enough WoE competition. And then the remaining players leaving due to low population.

laoro (SHR) reached about same number of players on launch AFAIK, but it was year 2007

all (almost) mvps in one map, PK enabled in MVP map, all wings bought at NPC, gold room (very easy money), 750 max level. those good days.

hmm for 99/70 yes it's mid for 3rd jobs 150/50 it's a low rate.

Someone who knows of current servers and their populations should make a list in this topic or a new one so that players can find the most populated servers easily, especially since a lot of servers that are Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian, Korean, Japanese, Tagalog etc are not listed on RMS. I would do it if people would supply me with server population stats.

I don't see the need. Just go via RMS toplist. The servers with most players will get most reviews and more reviews will push the server to the top no matter whether they are good or bad.
