Best way to advertise a server?

Recently I've noticed that not much advertising for a RO server can be made besides purchasing those banners from ranking/toplist websites. I thought of advertising on RMS, but turns out all the slots are full and who knows how many people are on waiting list. Any other websites are either anti-private servers or low in traffic.
I need ideas guys? I have 100 dollars in advertising budget, what and where should I spend it? xD

RMS is all sold out. Rune's traffic is too server-owner oriented. Already have an ad on top200; And I don't think Google allows advertisements of privatized ragnarok online servers o.O ...

There are sites that I put up their cpc and cpm ads, they are for game advertising.  Maybe you could try, the rates are okay.

I am not sure about the rates they charge since I am a publisher not an advertiser.  They are good because their publishers are game sites or online entertainment sites.  I don't recommend advertising with google because the bid is so high, each cpc might cost 50 cents it's too much imo.

I think a cpm model is better, if you are going to advertise your server. 

I always suggest ppl to advertise not only on RO sites, because we have to open RO to new players.  If we just pulling the same group of players here and there, RO will die because everyone is eventually going to leave and no new people join.

There's always youtube and other video sites. Make a cool vid of RO/your server showing off the best of what you have and see if anyone comes to check it out.

And to get fresh blood into the RO world, expand your advertisements. tbh, I first heard of RO on gaiaonline about four years ago. I know I took people from gaiaonline and convinced them to play viciousRO with me. Just dont openly spam otherwise people wont like you.

gravity need to advertise ro more.  but then their effort might help the private servers more maybe that's why they didnt.

Gravity used to advertise in GI and other gaming mags as well as Tokyopop used to advertise RO while the manga was being printed. If they had as many ads as Dream of Mirror and gaiaonline, things might get better. As well as the regular word to word.
