i've been keeping tabs on this guy's client for like 2 years now but if i remember correctly he prefers to work alone, and i understand exactly why he would want to

because it's written in D, a language no one writes in, and requires a completely custom d compiler to use (Wtf?). because of this, it can only be worked on with windows, making it pointless (albeit because of a lack of features).

if what misterj said is true, that kind of contradict the purpose of the project being a cross-platform client  /hmm

It's cross-platform, as you should be able to run the client on supported platforms.
Unfortunately, in order to actually build the client, you need to use a windows box.
