2018 Race System Script

Since the old files are gone i had to rescript the new Server side files and edit the system to work with the summoner and baby classes WITHOUT rebirthing to novice high but it does reset the base level and job level and gives stat points and such whatever else is needed for the orbs...

You can use the server side files.... But you have to wait until i have time to make the client side edits. And it is usable.

Included is the item databases for RE and Pre-RE i do not have any customs on the Latest Version of Rathena Master which i used to test these files which all work 100% but it is set to buy the shards from the npc and not use a map to kill mobs for the shards needed for each race. So You know these files were edited by me in 2010 to sell the shards instead of adding the maps mobs and shards to use.

in the item dbs hit ctrl+f and search for race system these are the latest full item_db files btw

Thanks for the share! I've seen a few different race systems over the years some better than others. Did you have any pics of the different race skins?

EDIT: I always thought it would be cool if someone had a race system that involved just coloring the skin without ears/wings or a bunch of weird clothing colors.

Involved skin color... basically body + head palette with the same skin color then multiply that times the races, increase the maximum number of dye palettes - don't add these into the basic list of the stylist...

Make it check a certain variable and then change the stylist to disable the basic colors when criteria is met and only enable the range for the designated race.

Pretty easy to do if you make the palettes yourself for the races and rather easy to implement... but for better stat bonuses would be editing status.c and add there the extra stats based on the variable read = no item required for these stats and it'd really be racial stats.
Don't forget to add that variable in pc.c to be read at the login.

Possible even add a own script command for the variable to be edited so no need for a relog when you become the race right away.

the palettes have to be retrieved but i have also seen others that have more than 1 palette per race this original download only had 1 palette per race in the original download which i do not have but as i said i had to recreate the dbs and edit the npc scripts now i have to retrieve some compatible palettes and have these scripts use them in the client side as well as have the shards and orbs look correct in the client side

@Lunar im using these files fine WITHOUT doing what you suggested

i don't even have my server edited for the pals yet i didn't increase the pal count either all i did was make the db's as the npc's said for strengths and weakeness's  if you don't increase the pal count you don't need the pals

but when i do increase the pals i can set the npc to set you at a certain code and edit the stylist to read that code so you can have a custom menu with the race that you chose and normal palettes

and i will be using the 553 clothes dyes 251 hair dyes just have to change the skin colors hopefully i can increase the pals by 6x that amount :/

clothes dyes = 3,318 and hair dyes = 1,507

it is just 6x the amount bc in a way Light Elf is normal skin colors so i just need 5 additional skin colors and a custom stylist

i uploaded the cloth colors and hair colors pals in a rar i am unable to find a proper pal editor so i am asking for some help please recolor the skins to these colors and extract the 1st set of hair colors from the ragnarok clients original grf there should be 1-8 you will need for the hair colors these are the original race colors that the skin colors need to change to you can leave the rest alone

Light Elf = Regular Skin. pal for the cloth ends at 553 pal for the head ends at 251
Dark Elf = Purple to Dark Purple Skin. pal for the cloth starts at 554 pal for the head starts at 252
Holy avenger = White skin. pal for the cloth starts at 1107 pal for the head starts at 503
Marine warrior = Light Blue to Blue skin. pal for the cloth starts at 1660 pal for the head starts at 754
Orc assassin = Green to Dark Green skin. pal for the cloth starts at 2213 pal for the head starts at 1005
Dragon slayer = Red to Dark Red skin. pal for the cloth starts at 2766 pal for the head starts at 1256

yes i know the race colors because i used the original files

please if you can add in these colors for the summoner class

After these are made i will edit the npcs to have the new cloth start points and make a new stylist while i wait

this race system originally only edited the head color and cloth color on the 251 hairstyles but i cant find the 251 hairstyles grf anymore i only found 84

So i do hope someone will help by doing the palettes to improve the colors for cloths and hairs for this system
