Annihilate

This is for anyone who lives in Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, The Philippines, Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam:

I have been looking for answers on why my net is so effed up and after hours of searching for a site that I can actually visit, I decided that you might as well be informed too.

Theres has been news that the 1st and 7th segment of APCN2 submarine cable has been cut due to the typhoon Morakot. Most of the packets that IP's in those areas send go through this cable. Remedial measures have been undertaken by PLDT[the phils] and Singtel[singapore].

If you have been experiencing massive lagging when playing in your respective RO servers, it is because most of the data centers of our servers are in the united states, and all packets that are sent to and received from those data centers go through this cable.

ETA on repairs for segment 1 is about 6pm of August 13, then repair for segment 7 will commence. [Yes, it sucks that it is taking THIS long]

for more info click on this news article.

P.S. Apologies to the admin for posting this here but we in S.E.Asia practically cant visit any other site atm becayse of the cable break. Please do not delete this topic for the next 2 days. Thank you.
