I was working on changing the skin around in-game when I noticed that no matter what I did, nothing regarding the in-game skin actually changed. What I'm changing is in data/texture/À¯ÀúÀÎÅÍÆäÀ̽º

In here I also noticed something else. I am currently suffering from a problem where some of the buttons I have ingame are not translated while others are, no kind of translation pack downloaded seems to aid the problem. In this textures folder however, everything is translated, I do not see anything in Korean. So now I'm trying to figure out why my ingame skin is not reflecting the skin found in data/texture/À¯ÀúÀÎÅÍÆäÀ̽º like it should. My client is hexed to read the Data folder first and I doubled checked, nothing in it would force it to read any particular default skin or stop it from partaking a change in skin. I am using a Renewal client and my DATA.INI is setup as follows:

[Data]
0=data
1=rdata.grf
2=data.grf

I also tried:

[Data]
1=rdata.grf
2=data.grf
3=data

and it didn't fix anything (honestly didn't think it would, but was worth the shot anyway). So basically:

I've tried not hovering my mouse over the button, I've tried hovering my mouse over the button, I've tried clicking the button. Nothing reflects the change.

Data? Wtf is data?

GRF's only need to be added, And you have a problem there man.

0 Im assuming is your private RO UNLESS your playing the official iRO. But data ini is to read .grf files only. So hold on to that.

And btw, Why are you killing yourself with that complex method? Unless your the server owner, I suggest you play with the data folder if you wish to let everyone have the same skin if your creating a grf. As for the skin, You do realise there IS a skin folder in your RO root folder buddy?

Create a folder called "skin" in lower case, Then create another folder inside it, Put the name of the skin, And transfer all the files into it. Alt+O ingame, and change the skin.

Actually if I were to remove data from the data.ini, I would no longer be able to connect to my server because the clientinfo.xml is no longer being read, I have personally tried this. That said...

...you would be correct, this server is not yet open, hence the data folder. I'm sorry I forgot to mention that originally, that's a fault on my behalf, but please do not assume.

This is the part that makes me sit here and want to bash my head into my desk because believe it or not, I actually completely overlooked the skin folder and that would most likely be the answer to all my problems. It was a very simple solution, and I appreciate you pointing it out to me. Things are dandy now.

xD Sorry if you think im assuming, or it sounds that way o.o I guess i should rephrase my sentences alot more :P, But yes, if ever you do plan to put the same skin, in a GRF. Here the path bud

data\texture\유저인터페이스

Just paste everything into that folder, Also take note, The client has issues when it comes to reading the korean/translated one.

Or to make it easier o.o Thor patcher apparently allows you to download certain items into people's root folders.

I wish you luck in your RO server :P And if ever any problem persists. Feel free to ask ahead :)
