Scandinavian letters

I just reinstalled Ro after a few years rest, logged into a server and noticed that scandinavian letters won't work unlike they have worked everytime before. All I get is some weird russian looking symbols. Is this a problem in my client or has it got something to do with the server?

Could be client, it could be your regional settings.

Well my regional settings are set to finnish so according to that scandinavian letters should work fine.
