started about a week ago, I tried restoring my computer to two weeks back to no avail. i'm also getting disk1.cab errors, even though i'm running a .exe file.

google hasn't helped, maybe one of you can!

This might be a problem you'll want to ask about on your servers forums, as it may be a problem with their installer.  Have you tried to install any other servers in the past & had the same problem?

yeah sorry, any and every installer i've tried, both full and partial installers. its driving me crazy. its not just with RO either, any little program I try to install with a .exe doesn't work.

If you're downloading everything with a download management software, it may be cutting a few bytes off your installs as it places all the "chunks" together. Try turning it off next time you're downloading something, and see if there is a change.

Other than that, re download your install and try again.

My server players have had that problem before. They didn't check the file size, try not to use IE when downloading as it doesn't work well for downloading large files.
