I downloaded all, what next?

Hi everybody...
I just finish download all the files to play RO, but, what should I do with the files "rdata.grf" and "data.grf"? I've never seen those type of files in my life. Where should I put it for play? I didnt see any instruction about waht to do with those files.

You extract the files into the same folder and you put the data.grf and rdata.grf into the same folder as well. After having done so you will need to patch Ragnarok and Ragnarok RE using the patchers with the same names. After being fully patched install your server's files you want to play into the folder in which you extracted the files. You should patch your server too with its updater.
After doing that you will be good to play.

(An advice from me is fully patching RO and RO RE then copying the folder so you have a spare folder fully patched if you are only trying out servers. Some don't have uninstall exes so it's easier to try more than one. ;P)

Easier instructions:

Step 1. Install Ragray (The exe file you downloaded from ragray.net size approx. 1.5GB or a little more) in a folder. say D:\RO
Step 2. Double click on Ragnarok.exe and let it complete then close when it finishes updating.
Step 3. Double Click on Ragnarok_RE.exe and let it complete then close when it finishes updating.
Step 4. Choose a server you want to play. List of Ragnarok Servers
Step 5. Download their patch (Small Client / Mini Client) Size should be less than 300MB.
Step 6. Install your downloaded Server's Client on the same folder where you previously installed Ragray; D:\RO
Step 7. There should be a newly appeared somewhat animated icon on your desktop.
Step 8. Double Click it.
Step 9. Wait for the patch to complete.
Step 10. Click on Start Game / Start Button.
Step 11. A narrow window (Setup.exe / Ragnarok Setup) will open, Select the below stated options there from top.
i> Direct 3D Hall
ii> Check box Full screen Mode
iii> 800 x 600 x 16
iv> Use 2D Sound
v> 2 Speaker
vi> Sound Frequency 22k
vii> Sound Bits 16 Bits
viii> Sound Channel 16 Channel
ix> Max Sprite Detail
x> Max Texture Details
xi> Press OK
Step 12. The Client Window will open.
Step 13. Enter your username* and password*
Step 14. Press Enter. Make your Character, Adjust the stats also the name.
Step 15. Press Enter. Select your just made character and Press enter again.
You are online on Ragnarok. Begin a new Virtual Life.



* Remember to register for your game account on the Website for the server you choose. Userid Pass of another Server won't work on the other server.

Doesn't necessarily have to be Ragray. If jius1 already downloaded all of the other files then it's just more work. Other than that same procedure.

i guess it depends on what it is you are trying to do.
are you trying to play a server that somebody else owns, for example: any public and/or privately owned server(s)
or are you making a new one?
