I'm trying to download kRO, in parts. So, the GRF file is 8 parts. Each one is roughly 180mb's. Randomly and more often that not, it'll stop at "0% of this download is left" and then I'm forced to wait thirty minutes until I can try again. Then it fails again. And then again.

Three days later, I've got all the pieces together, when I try to extract it, it gives me a 'CRC" error. You'd think it'd be kind and tell me which file is corrupt..? Nope. Three more days of downloading, and I get the same error.

So.. Ugh.. Do I throw in the towel, or does anyone out there have any kind words?

Sorry to hear your story, there is not much we can do about that because part of it depend on your internet connection.  I could suggest if you have any local friends playing the game with you, you can have them give you the client in a USB or some transferable media to avoid the download hassle.

When you extract the rar, do you see which part it stops at to get a hint of which part is the problem?

Torrent it. It's not too hard to find either a kRO torrent or a full server install torrent (and then you strip kRO out of it!).

Tom~

You can download Miruku (kRO and RE in one installer) from a site another user (I think it was Snowy?) posted.

Here: http://star-o.net/miruku/

Miruku has been my go-to installer for a while. :D

And so you killed yourself,
but you killed everyone else around you too.

A appreciate the help. Switched to firefox and am now getting this "a few more seconds" freeze a little less often than I was getting the "0 secs left". So, if this fails once again, I'll try the Miruku. But sadly, I wouldn't be surprised if it got to the end and wouldn't complete that 2.1 gig download.

It's sad. Twenty minutes to download a 195MB file, then forced to wait half an hour, download the next one, it fails, wait half an hour, try again- I've probably downloaded over 10GB's just trying to get this game to work in the last week.

Depend on the computer, the 0% reminding wait time is usually the time for the computer to "rebuild" the downloaded content from your internet dump space to the place you wish to save the file.  It shouldn't be that much of a problem, of course bigger file takes longer to process and the computer's specs do make a difference.
