Client problems...again

Stumbled into some new problems with my Ragnarok client.

The problems im experiencing are mainly with the UI, for some reason any server that runs with the renewal ui (the newer one that has two extra skill boxes and buff timers)
I can't use the @ command. If i press alt+2 (european keyboard) it does the emote but the sign does not appear in the text bar. Leaving me no option but to ctrl+c and ctrl+v the @ sign in, it gets frustrating after a while.

The other problem im expericing are I dont have any sound whatsoever, regardless what server I go on its not there. I have also checked so that the BGM files are there and the sound is turned in ingame. The sound works just fine in other games, mp3's, movies etc.

This is on Windows 7 x64. Not sure if that has something to do with it but yeah. Any clues on how I can go about fixing this? Would be very appreciated.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the @ works just fine on servers that dont have the new ui.

EDIT2: Sound problem resolved, still dont know how to fix the @ sign problem though.
