Sprite errors with RMS
« on: Aug 10, 2007, 07:44 pm »
Alright, kRO and kRO Sakray are fully patched, and I always seem to get these sprite errors.

It's very strange, because I am fully patched, but whenever I login to my Novice at the training grounds I get    around 20 boxes of these errors and then the client closes.

could be ur main server's file are interferencing.

look at your data.ini see if there's other server's grf listed in there if so remove it (back it up first because you need it when you go back to your server server).

it should just look like:

0=data.grf
1=sdata.grf

or something like that ... there could be <server_name>.grf before the two lines which you don't want.

and what's in your data folder?  if anything else more than the sclientinfo.xml you can try move the content out (backup again) and see if any improvement.

Make sure you're using a supported client aka ours.  The old clients have problems interpreting certain packets since they dont have the features.

I have the same problem, and yes, I am 100% updated (even had to download the new sakray)

Also, it seems palettes give lots of errors as well

Did you bother reading my suggestion?

I always use newer clients (except the newest ones, as EA isnt ready to use those yet)
Using 2007-04-16a_Sakexe_v10.exe

Im also doing minimal data folder usage (as the errors are sprite/... types, which says grf problems, as opposed to data/sprite/... errors which would suggest data folder errors)

Ive done about everything I can think of doing to fix the errors, but they keep on coming

palette\¸Ó¸®\¸Ó¸®7_¿©_9.pal is the most recent...

I use the client from the RMS website. And my data.ini looks like:

[Data]
2=data.grf

Try adding changing data.grf to sdata.grf
