New server client not working.

so i downloaded the new client, everything else in my RO folder is the same as it was before the wipe and yet i cant connect. before i just connected using my home servers client and managed to get on just fine, now it seems i can get to the character select screen but i cant connect from there. and if i use the new client i get an error on the login screen right after i try to login. what am i doing wrong here?

You need to be FULLY up to date or the client WILL CRASH on you when you try to log in.  If you claim to be up to date, then you are most likely not.

I have attached a third party patcher that you can use to patch to the fullest without crashing.

unfortunately this did not solve my problem. i am indeed fully patched in both kRO and sakray. i run the new client and still get an error upon trying to log into the game. i dont think the problem is not being upto date.

Have you tried logging into the server with the old version?  That's right, you can't connect which means the PACKETVER constant has indeed been changed.

I've seen 5 players on earlier which means it has worked for them.  I've had the same error until I've updated FULLY updated.

If your sdata.grf isn't 1,119,138 kB aka 1.06 gB then you are NOT updated.  In the case where you do have a sdata.grf that is 1,119,138 kB then prove me wrong otherwise.  I want exact file size comparisons.

well, i got 1.05 gigabytes(1,136,001,872 bytes) in my sdata.grf. so i guess im not uupdated. my question now is how do i get updated if i have already fully patched? appearantly our clients arent patching properly if this is happening. in which case i would like to know why.

Client is fully, 100%, updated. Fresh new install and that jazz. I've done this hundreds of times before and I'm 99% certain I know what I'm doing. Something's up with the client.


sdata.grf is 1 124 159 488 bytes.

And yep, when I run sakray.exe it says I'm fully updated (and so does the 3rd party patcher.)
