Need help on client.exe

6. Run the client .exe file and go to the server selection screen. You should see a server called "RMS Test Server". Select it!
i dont get this step. i dont get whats client.exe.
help me please.

test server only, we don't intend to get loyal players like the rest of the .. "private server" so we are not a private server in a sense? lol i dont know it's confusing who cares.

david82213 did u get the .exe from the rapidshare link or using ur own ? in both cases ... just double click the exe to run it and it will run RO with our server in the server selection box ... what's not being understand?

I got a problem with the client you got there (the one from rapidshare).
When i try to launch 2007-04-16a_Sakexe_v10 it does not really want to start.
Im using latest Sak update and also did all the tasks listen in the "how to connect" section.

What should i do ?

You might want to rename the current data folder and make a new one.

Ok, i got the proper file structure wich is :
F:\Gravity\RO\data\sclientinfo.xml
F:\Gravity\RO\2007-04-16a_Sakexe_v10.exe

At first i didnt have a "data" folder so i created it.When i try to launch the application it does not start at all. I renamed the actuall data to "data2" , made a new "data" folder ,placed the file and its still the same (i know it sounds stupid but yea,im trying everything i can)

And i got this question on my mind, do i need kRO and Sakray to start the server or only Sak?Because right as im now only using pure Sakray (required for my nature private server).

That sclient looks like it should work just fine.  Does the client start if you get rid of all the data folders?  If not, then it's a setup issue.

@second question: no, you wouldn't need kRO if sakray starts just fine. (It's basically the same thing anyways)

Wow,it does not work in window mode.I see server selection but when i select the server i get a gravity error?Could it be a conflict with some files from other private servers?

If you have a data.ini file, you can temporarily remove everything but sdata.grf.

If i do that, i miss the files and client does not want to start...(missing Dll files)
Tell me what files to i exactly need to play,please list them.

If you've downloaded sakray without any getting the runtime files, then it will not start.  You have to download the sakray runtimes.

Unfortunately, I dont have a link to that.  Maybe someone else will post a link.
