Hey, a problem...
« on: Jun 25, 2007, 05:34 PM »
Well, I'm sorta new here, and I already have a problem! It's sort of with the steps. I mean, I follow the steps (Make the data folder, xml file, all that...) but the server isnt in the selection list when I open the file! I'm not used to this XML stuff.. Please help! (I feel like such a noob.)

And it's in your data folder correct?

If you didnt download the client from our link, the easiest way to debug this is to do just that
http://rapidshare.com/files/38066690/2007-04-16a_Sakexe_v10.exe.html

Try it and tell us what happens.

Alright. The xml file is in the data folder, though my results aren't that good. I tried to register my account with the _f thing, and then it shows NO MSG for awhile. Then another window (which i am assuming is like the Cannot connect to server window,) says NO MSG. Then when I click the OK button, it's back to the login screen. There isn't anything like choosing a server, unless it's after the log-on.
EDIT: and yes, I used the client thing you suggested.

_M and _F are case sensitive (meaning they have to be capitalized).  Try again with them capitalized.

Nope it didn't work even capitalized. I have a question though. Is the NO MSG supposed to be there?

Might help out if you download the translation packages from:

http://mrmagoo.psiblade.net/translation/index.php?action=downloads&cat=2

Get all three and extract it to your RO folder.

When you run the client, do you see a server selection dialogue?  Did you choose it?  If so, do you have software firewall running?

As soon as I run the client? Nope. And my firewall always informs me so I can disable it. o.o

How is your directory tree looking?

Ex: C:\Program Files\Gravity\RO is the root directory
C:\Program Files\Gravity\RO\data is the data directory
C:\Program Files\Gravity\RO\data\sclientinfo.xml is the file that you've made
C:\Program Files\Gravity\RO\2007-04-16a_Sakexe_v10.exe is the client that you've downloaded.

If everything is in place, running 2007-04-16a_Sakexe_v10.exe would lead to the server selection screen.

If it still doesn't work, i'll upload my xml and see if it makes a difference.

Alright, thanks. I'll re-do it and if it still doesnt work, I'll ask for your XML file and all that.

Thanks for supporting me so far. I'll post if it worked or not soon.

edit: I hope it works! xD
