Were you wearing any custom server items at that point?  Is your data.grf or sdata.grf there in the same folder (Assuming you have multiple folders for no reason like me...)
When you downloaded the server's client, did you move everything in to your folder? (Or most of everything, some you can leave out.)

Just some random things you could check out.

90% of the time I see this problem with people, it's usually because they aren't fully up to date. They might think they are, but they usually end up finding out that they aren't. Therefore, just to double-check, when you run the sakray patcher.exe, does the bottom left button become clickable? If it doesn't, then you aren't fully patched.

Another thing I've noticed is that your client is really old. You might want to try a newer client that has been properly hexed, as old clients don't always read the new data properly.

If neither of those work, then I will probably need more details, such as if you've installed on top of another server, at what point the crash occurs, if any other error messages pop up, etc.
Don't worry, be happy =(

Installing a server on top of another server is usually prone to errors, since the DATA.ini in the folder might end up choosing the wrong grf to use, resulting in you trying to connect to the wrong server. In my opinion, you might want to try re-installing in a clean folder to be safe. If you don't like having that many sdata.grf, which is usually the biggest file in an RO installation, you can share it... but it's a little complicated, so I won't explain it unless someone actually wants to try it.
Don't worry, be happy =(

Move all the files in your \EternityRO\ to \Gravity\RO

-Pow
you don't have to use the actual file path lol.

and way to bump a topic.

Fixed with this: Thank you very much

It would seem this user has not properly installed kRO runfiles, no searching on google for individual files is NOT the proper support.

Firstly remove any files that may be contained in your "Data" folder located in your RO directory.  If you do not have a Data folder then do not worry about it.

kRO Files: For those of you that are experiencing binkw32.dll and other errors, gravity handler errors, and for those of you who do NOT have kRO ( rag_setup ) installed.  These are the files required to play with sakray only installs.

Download: http://files.filefront.com/runfilesrar/;6941061;;/fileinfo.html

Extraction: Extract these files into your RO install directory, click "yes to all" to overwrite any files.  Note:  You must have sakray and ExampleRO installed into the same directory.

Install: If you cannot extract the files from these compressed files ( runfiles.rar ) please download winrar and install.  http://www.win-rar.com/

Note:  Make sure these files are NOT in a seperate folder of their own but with all the other files such as sakray, sdata.grf, ExampleRO.exe, ExampleRO Patcher.exe etc...  Click yes to over write any files.

Now re-install the private server that you wish to play on.   Click  "yes to all"  if needed during extraction or installation of any files.

Q:  Why do i have to re-install the server?
A:  Essentially the files I provided has a data.ini which contains information for a server that I GM on so  any re-installation would overwrite the data.ini in your RO directory.
