I downloaded the sakray from rms site and hes now fully patched, but skill window keeps erroring me.

Have you installed another server apart from RMS in that folder which has a data.ini? It could be that their .grf has a higher priority, and has the regular skill tree overriding it.

Our client does not read from data.ini

I had the same problem!
I just find a solution, in DATA.INI change "2=data.grf" to "2=sdata.grf".
