I get this message as soon as I open the RMS client.
I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong. I can include screenshots of the folders if that would help fixing this issue.
If anyone knows how to fix this I'd appreciate the help quite a bit.

You need your GRF files. And make sure you run the Recomended client, and make sure you have this:

I checked my folders, but there is no DATA.INI.
Also, which files are supposed to be .grf files?

The Files that are labeled ".GRF"

you need DATA.INI
if not you can easly make one. go to your Notepad and copy and paist this:

It's neither, I'm not even able to reach the login screen. About 2 seconds after I start the recommended client, the computer gives me the error message.

Hm.. That usually means It's looking for a background Screen that you don't have in one of your grfs (the one that's in the "0=" position on the DATA.INI)
You can try different combonations and while your doing that, You can get another kRO Client<-Click

I suggest a Torrent one (Takes less time for me)

And what should I use to unpack the .rar files, my computer doesn't have winrar.

Nevermind, found a freebie, and I take it all the gobbldigook words in the installer means I need the translations? Now installed the files and got the patch client working, but it gives me the error mfc90.dll
What does this mean?

mfc90.dll... I don't see that as a required DLL to run RO. It might be that Freebie extractor your found.

But if your patcher is fully updated, move the updated RO files into the folders (all of them if you have multiple servers) and try it then

You got the renewal client, but did you get the 1.4gb kRO 0618?  all the dll should be in there.  If you read the message in the "note" you should know you no longer need sakray.

You mean the download that takes an hour to complete?
And feel free to whack me for my stupidity, my computer has good armour, but it's Vit is low.

i mean the download that says kRO Ragnarok 0618, they come in 1 part OR 3 parts OR 5 parts.  After extraction you get RAG_SETUP0618.EXE that is around 1.4gb.
