RebirthRO's Direction: From the eyes of former staff.

Let me start off with the fact I'm unsure if this should be Rant & Rave or Hall of Shame.

And that this post will be updated with any further news or additional information.

As well as the fact many screenshots have been cropped to keep sources confidential.


As of early August 2016 all RebirthRO staff except for the Root Admin quit in part to the man himself; Ancyker. For the second time in Rebirth's history everyone left once again. Some who know not of Ancyker may question how bad could he be, so I'll share a little of what he's said and done in the past, and then follow up with recent events.

Article five: Put a script on me to cause me to be killable then auto-res and not be able to attack didn't have time to turn it off so he banned me again.

And while that's not all that's been done he has also:

Hired his friends, girlfriend and her friend to GM on a whim; compromising security and safety of the server.

Banned me for erroring his girlfriend

Banned me (yet again) for "Revealing a GM legit"

Which was "revealed" to his at the time (ex)girlfriends boyfriend at the time, and proven via third party evidence and having been known by a multitude of people thus protecting me by the below rule which I got via the guide to GMing given to all GMs at Rebirth as of the time I was hired on (April, 2016)

Coming to 2016 now I among 5 others get hired onto RebirthRO as a GM, it's late April early March, Morpheus who was previously fired got rehired back on and earned a lead GM position for the secondary server Thor.

Ancyker hired on a friend of his (Who is now Rebirth's Lead GM, Loaf) who hadn't played Rebirth in several years time without an application or review by the staff.

Then placed him in the private GM skype group thus revealing all GM legits, without even considering the current staffs stance on this. All the while throwing the fact he's "root admin" so he can do as he wants when he wants.

This was while myself and the rest of the new staff were being selected for positions at Rebirth so it would look like Loaf was not hired by him and hired rightfully with the rest of us.

Of the 6 of us hired 5 of us made it through the first couple months one became inactive and fired. Loaf who had also been inactive was allowed to stay due to no one wanting to deal with Ancyker to fire him, so he remains to this day after we all left and he took the Lead GM position without any training or anyone who can actively ensure he's not corrupt (As Ancyker is the only one above him and has been on vacation essentially since we left in early August)

As he missed his training and had been inactive for years before being hired Loaf was deemed wholly unfit to be a GM even of low rank, despite that fact he's now the second highest member of staff on Rebirth outside Ancyker.

And now with Syphon being absent to the server due to personal reasons which wont be shared here out of respect for him as a person. Ancyker is left to reign freely and do as he pleases with the server, being both the highest ranking member of staff and only one with physical access to it. At this point we've had enough of him doing as he pleases. Starting with him again firing Morpheus for "encouraging players to lash out at Ancyker" via Discord and ddosing Ancyker himself, neither of which were true. Morpheus simply told them to speak freely as is their right.

At this point in time Rebirth's staff would have considered eachother friends before colleages, and wholly agreed Ancyker had stepped too far with his unjust actions and decided to leave. None of us wanted to be left with just 2-3 people and Ancyker between being overworked, understaffed and left to Ancyker's wrath, we decided it was time we all parted with Rebirth even those (myself included) that had dedicated 5+ years both as a player and GM to it, many years of our lives dedicated to an age old game, have come to pass. Some of us glad and some of us with great sorrow have come to leave Rebirth and since have gone elsewhere in life.

As of October 26, 2016 I have been banned from RebirthRO on my main account with no reason provided while I was in Prontera interacting with players on a Not Vali character (Vali, was my former GM name)

While I'm sorry it has come to this  I feel Rebirth may be coming to an end due to unqualified staff and a very stagnant community, I will now share with you all changes done to RebirthRO in the past months since the former staff has parted from RebirthRO.

For those with keen eye or a strong memory you may notice that there are only 3 real kinds of changes there, minor bug fixes, description updates and cash shop additions... Oh... and a rehash of the same event Rebirth has had for what?... 5 years now? except missing an exchanger NPC which has existed just as long.

And a new forum which both the playerbase and staff were against, if you take note that the old forums still has more players on it than the new one 3 months in.

I certainly hope Rebirth can survive the plague that Ancyker is, but unfortunately I do not see that happening. I'm glad I spent the time I did with Rebirth early on it was great, and GMing even more enjoyable. If there's one thing I will miss about my experience it will be the community that it had, was very passionate about the game many of them had devoted years of their lives to Rebirth and for them I strongly hope Rebirth does live on even if I'm not a part of it.

Since the former team has left RebirthRO, another team has been hired and very much under-qualified, they have been seen following and watching players in guild based areas such as guild towns, and have permanently jailed players.

And another older incident I could mention is when Ancyker fired the lead GM of the time Marshmallow for breaking a castle that he took and summoned several hundred MvPs in.

Ancyker again, he is in the RMS GM hall of shame since years ago.  I really don't know the logic in the Rebirth owner keep hiring him back after all these years of misconduct.

RebirthRO is a sorry excuse for a server... I'm ashamed to say it was my first server. I'm so glad I left that server and never looked back. I've witnessed some terrible things on there.

Someone is bitter. You got banned for sharing the names of GM's legit characters. You obtained this information as staff and since you already "quit" (and therefore could not be punished by being fired) you were banned.

This will likely be my final post on this matter. I'm done with the drama, it's dreadfully boring now. Go ahead if you want to continue though, it's pretty clear you have nothing better to do.
