A 400$ car "works" as well. Does not mean it's a very good car though and will break on a lot of occasions.

Poor code also makes websites have bigger loading times which may not the case for a lot of people with nowadays internet speeds but for some players it can still be a problem and maybe that is what scio is trying to tell.
There is also the "can open doors for hackers" but that's another item to discuss in another topic.
