Checked http headers as well from the raw access logs? Because as I said before, Synapse isn't a known alias on our server, and if they're a third party playing devil's advocate, then they're only further incriminating m4ze.

Many thanks to yC for inadvertantly reminding me I had the ability to check my OWN raw access logs to see the IPs of people browsing these threads thanks to my having a signature image.

So, at the time of the last "Synapse" forum account post, the IP used (I've removed the 2/3/4 slot numbers, but pasted them on IRC to yC and others for verification purposes) shows:

I'd say a time stamp isn't good enough to show what you are trying to say.  The logs could be both from M4ze browsing or both from Synapse.  It could be a flaw in SMF or it could be good hiding skill or something else.  There is more than one possibility based on what is shown. 

I'll simply put, the post made on 09:22 today by m4ze http://forum.ratemyserver.net/rant-and-rave/casualro-shady-stuff-going-on/msg153557/#msg153557 isn't even posted with the IP in your log so .. without any "third party aid", either on the log or on the IP it wouldn't be possible.

Been busy all day with a school and work combination, but at least since I've last checked the topic we've got a huge development.

Well, well, well. What a turn of events. So we finally know the identity of "Synapse" and my "doppelganger". I can't say I didn't have my suspicions to begin with (obviously it had to be someone I sent those screens to). Although I wasn't sure exactly who it would be. Yes m4ze was a possibility that crossed my mind and was my definite choice if I had to guess. However, I had to consider all possibilities and even thought it could have been Eddie or even Sarin pulling some strings (no offense to you, but it made sense to me since you have an RMS account already). Like I've been protesting from the start, I'm not Synapse nor did I do that pathetic posting on the facebook page or have anything to do with it period. M4ze,you may have had good intentions for the server while we were on it, but  you seem to have drifted away from that. 

Honestly throughout this entire topic I've practically been a toy used by m4ze and Justin. I initially registered to the forums since I didn't have one, but also to see if something like this would arise. And thus when it did, I was baited into it. In this whole incident that seems to be the second time >.>. I didn't come to RMS to start some pointless topic attacking Casual RO or Justin, I came because my name was brought up and to defend myself in the course of the events.

@m4ze, You are a complete scum bag. First off you pretended to be me to further incite all this drama without even letting me know. And by doing so not only did you make yourself look like a complete idiot, you also dug your own grave. You pulled me into this and spread lies nonstop while using my as a scapegoat. I posted to reveal my side of the story and ultimately to get to the bottom of this issue. I jumped on the band wagon with you assuming Justin is corrupt, but regardless if he is or not that doesn't excuse your actions. IF Justin is corrupt, you certainly seem to have changed yourself and only did this to degrade the server rather than help it. PS, next time if you do something like this at least don't post "I AM M4ZE" on your own post 

@Justin, You at times are no better. You constantly villanize me (if that's a word, probably not) throughout this topic just the same. You even admitted to having a dislike to me which in return I still believe was unjust in your decision to ban me, let alone when I stand by the fact I'm innocent. I still disagree with some of the things you have said, but what I am most upset with is how you seem to have such a dislike for me, because during my time on the server and even now I don't share those feelings. Yes I've had my squabbles with you here and there, but I don't categorize you or anything simply as "black and white" for having a different opinion than me. The same goes for what past drama on main, I simply wanted to have a server discussion (IN REAL TIME, you know I suck at this forum stuff) to get more information on WoE at times for feedback. You can't say during the time SU members were on the server that they didn't put in the effort to recruit and try to improve WoE. You even told me to "shove a stick up my donkey" regarding that players don't just play for WoE. Yes I know this and there is nothing wrong with that, but I have never attacked or harassed a player on main etc. I agree discussions at time and this being the internet can lead to things getting out of hand but I have no desire to assault players. I simply get frustrated as with the rest of SU for months of hardly having no competition at all and trying desperately to increase WoE participation.  m4ze at least said one truthful thing in that what we simply were looking for was a competition that was balanced. Winning every time even if there is competition is pointless, if both sides are equal then the game is actually exciting. Do you think I'm happy Pacinko has quit? That means even less WoE, and that they actually were building up to be a server threat since they got to the emperium every time.

Now I do admit to my own form of bias regarding this issue. Even though through most of this topic I have been throwing "corruption" around you, I was actually the one who was saying for the most part "What if Barbaldos isn't Justin?". Without evidence and strictly on my own perspective and other member involvement I did jump to a conclusion. Neither of this is proved I will state, although there are some things that are still not crystal clear to me. Either way, I can see a motive for the GX being you, and also for it not. We have to account for that this person whether being you or not is the source of all this drama and holds a hand in this just as much as we do.

Moving on to address the only POSITIVE purpose or accomplishment of this topic: criticism. Just as you are, I am a university student with a part time job. Fair enough, I understand you do not have time to deal with these silly antics. However at the same time, why do you need to? This is the internet, people are going to get rowdy and have interactions all the time. Some nice, some not so nice. Its great that you are dedicated and deal with these issues (no one has more dedication than you), but you simply do not need to. I think you would agree that patrol officer isn't your job. Indeed an argument did breakout between m4ze, 9inchess (keep dreaming kid) and Nyuu. So my response is, why not just let them duke it out? No one was swearing or anything vulgar from the chatlog you posted. Honestly if you gave them like 10 minutes and didn't intervene, I'm certain they would have sorted it out themselves and stopped. Neither of the three were acting mature and just throwing insults at each other, but I don't see why the GM team needs to involve themselves with every form of player relations. You said you were busy with your recital, and if you were, why waste your time? Because I wouldn't. This ridiculous childish actions from the three of them is worth no one's time, thus in my own opinion I'd just let it slide. Now in the event it got out of hand and F-bombs and further drama occurred, then yes by all means take action. I applaud you for that, but there has to be a line drawn somewhere for this. And additionally when this occurred, I think punishment should be revalued. For this issue, I think mutes were sufficient to players to get the message across and show it is not tolerated. A two week IP ban for this is like what we've been telling you is GOING way too far for something like this. Yes it is annoying as hell, but you need to be fairer in your actions as a rule enforcer as well.

And I'm saying this because I care once again. In response to the "resent" that Prolego and even myself to an extent share, this can easily be avoided by making these changes. In the cases of "The Entity" and many other players, by doing something such as banning someone for let say two weeks for causing on drama on main (for example), has a reserve effect. By being so harsh, players lose faith in the GM team and instead of learning their lesson, they simply do not return. A good example is the "The Entity", even though he was being a bit too sassy and received a two week forum ban, because of this he felt threatened and didn't return. You need to work on being more lenient on certain issues such as these because they are not just "you cheated in an event, xx punishment". Incidents like these can't always be written down on the rules to have an exact punishment and need to be reasonable and decided as they occur. Most of us were pleased with how the GM team as a whole dealt with players that broke serious rules and they deserved their punishment. But as I have said, if this doesn't change then this is going to be another "Utopia RO" in that incidents like these will continue to occur. I hope like you have said earlier that you take this criticism to heart and apply it to the server. I hope for the best for the GM team and the current players that are on Casual.

And Gurrrl, look back at the you that was on Serenity and Elysium (minus Kalicia LOL). That Justin was the one that had these qualities. You use to even troll yourself (Constantine), and if it's all fun and no one is being harmed or harassed, what is wrong with that? I honestly do it myself for simply playing around with my fellow server peers and to miss around. Not to upset others in retrospect. You use to be so much more easy going and approachable, and as I said before yes I know you are busy working on your musical career etc. And because of that it is one of the reasons I joined Causal RO. Not only do you yourself make the server for your hard work, but also for your personality and character as a GM. Now I wasn't around for Utopia RO, but lately you seem so fixated on "anti drama" to the point that people have to basically watch everything they say and do to the extent that they fear severe punishment for such minor things.

No it's not my real name but it is me. I got it from just watching South Park (I think that's Stan's father's name) to make a fake facebook account to look into the casual RO page and investigate my double and find out more information. I keep my internet/RO lives separate and private.

I do, however, want to post more images. Because, as I've stated before, people have joined my servers in the past solely from my responses to s*** posts on here from players who got banned and decided they needed to have a last hurrah before they begin the customary six months of prowling the server forums post-banishment festivities.

If that's an offer, I might accept it .

And lastly, I'm so bad at forums I still do not even know how to post pictures (there is none for this post). Ask Affinity one day about how bad I am at this~     And I have to admit, the Wendy William's one got me. I admit defeat.

Now you said players are entitled to an appeal. Then I'll do one here. I have no intention to return to the server, but I at the very least deserve a fair trial for my involvement in this and want to clear my name. I'm pleased at this point since the truth finally found its way out (you know I'm a justice freak).

I still very much so disagree with your decision to remove me from the server. I think it was unjust and completely based on your own bias. As Kaezer said earlier, it seemed you just banned me for something trivial as that regardless for what I did. I find it completely unfair how the bulk of the conversation is between m4ze, 9inchess and Nyuu, while I'm the one getting the most severe punishment of all for saying I didn't want to be apart of that non sense. Yes I did use your name, but considering my context and situation does it not make sense? We assumed it was you from how strong they were, how they acted and commented about us in Prontera etc. Regardless if they were you or not, they did one hell of a good job making me think so if they were not. As such, I think this person should receive some form of punishment for their involvement, setting this scheme up and baiting SU members. This is where as I said in my previous post this is simply going too far and has a negative effect on the server as well I hope you do not look at players with similar mindsets when deciding appropriate punishment.

And as once again for bug exploits, you DAM well know how big I am on justice. I didn't bother you constantly back when Ihonz was around for nothing. I had a suspicion since he was selling Beelzebub/Valk/Ifrit drops daily in the first month, and simply went to investigate. I found him there, and you even warped me to watch your trial with him to deal with it respectfully. Now in regards to my actual "first offense", you are fully aware with what I said. Everyone on RA already knows about the fact that EDP has been broken for months, and this has not changed. I may at times be sarcastic and make a joke about things, but in NO way did I encourage players to exploit bugs, let alone can EDP use even be stopped at this point? Its practically the main skill on sinx/GX. And I have also never exploited a bug, then reported a player after to get them banned (and nothing to do with race here, and yes Ihonz is pinoy but that is hardly relevant to anything). The only time I have is with Ihonz, and I did not even have a GX at that time. I said before like with the leech end and so on, I had to test them first to confirm, and no one else even knew about these exploits since they were so far-fetched anyway. I tested it on the server, found that it worked and reported it. You then disabled weapon blocking which stopped it. I don't see how anyone was banned for this from me reporting it, or any of the other exploits I have reported.

Edit: I lol'd at this JT : "How the s*** is this "low" priority? You can 1-shot any MVP. For those of us with servers running live, this is huge." You tell 'em, , like all the other issues that are left untouched. (Apparently fixing things like frost nova is a much more of a priority than things like this on RA, which are still not fixed) Edit again: Never mind it was fixed, but pretty long wait for something like that.

Anyways, just wanted to point some of that out. Additionally, the server "celebrating" my removal is something I find disturbing and appalling. Considering how much time I spent helping so many other players, to find out they seem to have another face behind my back. For instance, when Nyuu got her homunculus S it was 2AM for me (I wanted to sleep) and she asked how to get it working with an AI. At this time she had a lif, and she said she manually leveled it to 99 (no ai, girl you got patience). So I took an hour of my time until 3AM by telling her where to download an AI, instructions on how to manually code it to support homunculus S, and even waited for her to test it to make sure it worked. At one point, I was so tired when she logged out to modify and didn't come back for roughly 15 minutes, I was basically forcing myself to stay online since I thought she wasn't coming back. But I still ended up waiting patiently myself. And in other areas I gave away a free SDH (some value this item at 2k cp ($20)) to Frau in Sekai, a lady tanee (5k cp) to Xanice and so on. And that is just items, that doesn't even count the time I put into helping other with in-game problems and builds/questions etc. I may have my faults, but you all made me out to be a monster at times for your disagreement when you hardly even know me. Those that did only have the right to judge me. All of you only saw one side of me.

@Sarin, I think you should return to the server you at the very least deserve that most out of anyone here. You constantly set an example in the community, and should take over the remainder of SU. It may be interesting since some new french guild has joined that is quite large I've heard and they seem to be keen on entering the WoE crowd. Just give them some time. Maybe I failed in some ways, I never wanted to be the leader but I had to take over after Andy's shocking leave. My first time leading a guild, so I felt compelled to be serious and confident as a leader to do my best at the position.

As of this posting, I'd like yC/Triper to just lock this topic already as its done its deed and I don't see a point for it to continue. As for Casual RO, I truly do hope that it prospers (if you get more players, good the server really needs more growth) and gets to be the server I wanted it to be. The staff and community are putting in the effort, and that alone should be heard to create a server better than Elysium/Utopia in the areas they were lacking. Yes, this server has its problems but what server doesn't? If some of these problems get resolved, then Casual really sets itself apart as on its way to being one of the best servers out there in quality.

PS: I clicked Divinity RO and saw the Cookie is at least admitting to his mistakes and trying to work them out. Despite I don't like how you present yourself in this topic (I only the gifs that make me laugh ), you also deserve praise for having the courage to accept and moving forward to improve that. I can tell you very few servers/admins have the ability to pull that off and succeed. Just you guys need to be a bit more serious at times with these threads and post something relevant, then I'll accept gifs.

It may be interesting since some new french guild has joined that is quite large I've heard and they seem to be keen on entering the WoE crowd. Just give them some time. Maybe I failed in some ways, I never wanted to be the leader but I had to take over after Andy's shocking leave. My first time leading a guild, so I felt compelled to be serious and confident as a leader to do my best at the position.

I still can't sleep, but the purpose (at least I think) of this thread or rather what it accomplished was criticism. The whole point is that hopefully some changes occur with how the server is run. Thus, I feel you should at least give it a second chance. Although I go agree this GX thing is still a mystery, I think we did jump to conclusions. Upon checking the who's online on the website, I've noticed at least two people in this person's guild as well Justin being online with his characters as well. Therefore I'm leaning against that he wasn't the GX.

Possibilties include:

1. He used a s*** load of big buns/coffee to heal. It is true big buns cost 1 pvp point (you gotta ask the server opinion before you add these things), but he would need a lot and it does seem fishy. I remember when the pvp rewards were open I had like 2k or so myself, but this guy would need tao scrolls and big buns. He would need like a 1000 to spam literally every second since he was tanking my damage.

2. He was Justin. I still have to say it is a possibility. At the time there was a motive and the actions do add up.

3. He was abusing some new exploit we are unaware of. Possible as well since if hes not using reason 1 and isn't Justin this would be the most logical answer I could come up with.

Regardless, like I said in my previous post this still needs to be investigated since they are the source of this entire oredeal and provoked everyone into this by making drama.

Hoo boy. When my brother (Sarin) told me about the new server he was joining and I saw the name of the owner, I told him stuff will happen.
Now that he's been banned, it's finally my time to say: "I told you so."

I did try that server too, just for curiousity, and found the server quite dull, maybe it was just renewal, lack of party action, dunno but it's irrelevant. Perhaps the renewal, I just couldn't find a class I'd like. To put it simply, I was a nobody there. I popped in from time to time, usually weeks inbetween the visits, yawned on main, killed some mobs, logged off again, basically same thing with forums. 

Today, after another long period of nothing, I got bored enough to visit the cRO forums again. More than a month, maybe even more, passed since my last visit. Aaaaand...look what's popped up on me!

Yup, that's Keyboard on screen there, my prtsc key is malfunctioning amongst others.

At first I thought I was banned for inactivity so I asked my brother whether he's still playing that RO server of his. He replied by asking whether I got banned. After my positive answer, he just smiled and directed me here to read.

So...yes, I read it all. With no solid evidence provided from either side,  what did I see here?
On one side, angry people trying to find out what happened and why, analyzing, deducing. On the other side, jTynne behaving like....well, like jTynne and his lapdog Saki playing the second violin.

I'm just an innocent bystander, and frankly, my dears, I don't give a damn about any of you. What I see is my ban on the basis that my brother asked what happened on a server I haven't visited for months.

I thank you, jTynne, m4ze and others involved, for a bit of amusement during another sleepless night and for giving me new appreciation of my "home" server by reminding me what's happening 'out there'.
