So someone reported to me about a server having a copy of the casino I have on my server. I went in and took a look myself on BrightsideRO. I don't know who leaked these scripts to them, but im going to rant here cause I am pretty pissed about it.

Before I even get started, I want to give a quick thanks to the following people.

1. Olrox Maps - Thank you for making me such a beautiful map to hold my casino games.

2. Justin Tynne - Thank you for making me some of the Casino Scripts such as Roulette, over and under, and Poker.

3. Saki for the amazing job on custom NPCs.


@ Brightside RO. At least take the time to rename some of the npcs? they all have the same names as mine. RC Lottery? you guys don't even have RC as your currency..

Im going to find out who leaked these scripts and if they are internal staff, I will deal with them properly. As for BrightsideRO, go pay and fund your own original content. If your going to copy and least do a decent job of it.

Also, with the scripts, how is that possible? Unless they're released on rAthena/eAthena/brAthena. Or, if you have more than YOURSELF having access to server files.

By any chance was the one who reported it to you Thuan?. Anyway it was Thuan was the one who gave us the files and gave the impression they was his and said he was admin over at your server. He also was trying to convince BrightsideRO staff to leave and make a server with him Final-RO is what he has called it. Anyway after him trying to convince me to join i said no to him. my guess is hes just whining about stuff to you and other fellow BrightsideRO players  trying to damage BrightsideRO. Anyway you now know who gave us the things , il let the server owner of Brightside know about this topic on here.

No such thing as partially my fault. If people had an ounce of good will inside them, the way it should be, they would find their own and make their own content and not steal mine. If I left my car door unlocked and someone went in and stole something, it is still 100% accountable to the person who goes in and steals it, not to the owner of the vehicle. The invention of locks for vehicles is due to some greedy a****** who we can all point fingers to.

If you read above, I said it was leaked by someone. Thats why they were able to get a hold of the scripts.

Bud, this is ONLINE, the INTERNET, people steal regardless. Same with in real life. You can't stop someone from stealing regardless. There are a****** out there that will steal and do anything to get their hands on anything. Thus, if you encrypted you really wouldn't have a problem with your files being stolen. I'm not trying to bash you or anything in any way, I'm just personally stating that this is the INTERNET, anything is bound to happen =/

@Triper. Absolutely agreed. History shows that people have stolen things and its our responsibility now to keep them secure. Using Locks for lockers etc, pin numbers, passwords. Stealing from others just shows you have no respect towards other. Thats all im getting at.

I'll provide some chat logs I had with the owner of the society server of him offering me his services, and his casino script.

Hilarious how quickly people jumped to the conclusion that we ripped it off. Clearly if we had WANTED to rip it off instead of it being provided to us we would have made some attempt to cover it up. These were provided to us under the pretenses that they were completely okay for our use. Don't try and fault us for something that someone on your staff did then expect us to rip our server apart on your whim due to one of your failings.

These are not HIS scripts. These are MY scripts that I paid for and I have transactions with the appropriate people who were credited for their work. Read my first paragraph MORE clearly. I did not say it was RIPPED, I said it was LEAKED. And how you got a compromise with someone of staff is beyond me.

So don't come into this thread with some kind of explanation on your part. As far as I know, I was given nothing in return for these scripts, which I purchased and paid for and edited and scripted to my liking. Have some decency and get your own stuff. A good server always has its own unique content and scripts, come up with your own things. BrightsideRO seemed like a decent server just by looking at it, use your own stuff and have some decency towards other server owners that we share the community with.

Derrick, seeing how the server owner Jasc didn't give the script to you in the first place suggests that perhaps, you ended up talking to another staff member who "faked" to be the owner of the scripts (and the map...).
I think showing the chatlogs would be good, especially for Jasc to see.

Furthermore, Jasc, did you PM the Administrators at Brightside first and asked them how they got the scripts? And also asked if they could remove them? I think it's better to inform them there before ranting here (so that you at least tried to talk to them first). But anyways, that would be for next XD (though I hope nothing of this sort happens to you again of course).

Nevertheless, there seems to be some miscommunication/leakage/whatever, and I hope things will be resolved soon. Good luck!

I've just started investigating the situation This guy was given to me by Thuan aka GM Byakuya(this guy owned a server). He joined my server and wanted to offer his services including HIS casino script and etc. This is just a few of the msn Logs that we have. Clearly I would have never gotten these scripts if it wasnt given to me. And Jasc be careful with Byakuya he tend to abuse his GM Powers. Theres a reason why he got fired and replaced in our server.

I could have did the same thing and said that you stole this from my server, it just happened that you are the one that made the rant first. If I was guilty of stealing this then I wouldnt have wasted my time pulling out some chat logs. But like I said I'll be more than glad to talk about the situation.

Yeah, I spoke to Jasc already. Something I found quite interesting though is that they just tried to ruin our servers reputation, accused us of stealing when clearly one of his staff members is the one that gave me "his" casino script.

Jasc if you do read this, I'm just gonna take out "your" casino script. And remake our own version of it. Clearly you spoke to thuan about trying to ruin the reputation of our server and also try to send our forum members that we were merging servers ? Thats pretty low. Let me post a screen shot of the convo Jasc aka Steven B in this msn convo with Thuan aka Byakuya(the person that gave bsro the casino script).

BSRO staff did not steal the casino script it was given to us by one of the members of the societyro staff. In conlcusion and a fix for this rant and rave about BSRO, we are just going to take out the whole script and remake our own without the use of their maps and etc.

Oh and also I found out why Thuan went to society its because he likes to try and ruin servers reputations that they have lost interest in. But Thuan if you are reading this, you were clearly one decent guy, but the thing is we hired you as a GM, you abused it gave yourself cold medicines to use so you can abuse it during WoE so your guild can win, and then you got caught for it and got punished. Your guild members are cool players and they understand being fair and what not its just that I dont know why all of a sudden you would do such actions as this. Good luck to you and your guilds future man.

By the way, we (as RMS members) shouldn't be treated as tools and fools (regarding the screenshot).

But good thing you guys talked it out. I guess, for other server owners, just be careful of the files you use, especially if the content is used in another server. Make sure that the Administrator is the one to give the files and have proof that he/she approve of the action (screenshot conversations!).

This issue stands resolved as he has agreed to take down the scripts from his server. No staff members are allowed to release script information such as that. Thuan has been removed from my server as well. Im sorry you got caught into this Derrick, we both got played by the same hand.


Thuan was actually a GM on society first. We opened our server march of 2011. We have been close to a year of operation already. When I heard you say that you appointed him as a GM, he was already a GM on society for a long time, which is why i was surprised he was cross-gming. Anyways it is dealt with, I spoke with Derrick Via PM, hes a nice guy, hopefully our issues are all resolved.


@ the conversation posted. I haven't been in contact with Thuan since months when he started becoming inactive as a GM. I was wondering where he had gone too, and now I find out that he has been on BSRO the whole time becoming a GM? This is new for me and you. And there is probably so much that we both didn't know.

I thought we already agreed to have solved this? Clearly your source of information in regards to the real admin of the server was not reliable which is why we are in this rut in the first place. Why would you attempt to try defamation when we have already agreed to have solved yesterday night. Makes no sense to me what you want out of this.


If you want to know why I took this so seriously, please go look at the hall of shame right now on the thread about PsychoRO. I was involved in that case too, you can see why im just LITTLE BIT upset and sensitive about this topic. I was already a victim of being copied once, I don't need it to happen again.


Im going to say this right now just cause its in the rant section. I have contributed LOTS of money towards Ragnarok and have spent countless hours of scripting and developing.

Jigs GFX and Jing Cleovil Coding Services - I have spent over $2500 USD on their websites and coding.

Justin Tynne - I have spent over $1000 USD On his web services, scripting, graphics etc.

Xantara - I have also paid Xantara over $100 USD for web design services, scripting and setup and graphics.

Idenshi - I have paid over $100 USD for his coding and setup services.

Ratemyserver - I have spent over $100 USD advertising my banners on RMS and just spent $45 for a 3 month budget banner.

Olrox Maps - I have spent $30 USD on his custom Edits

JCT maps - I purchased maps from him $30 USD


So don't even try to defame and talk about proof of sources.

I can be vouched by every single person I have mentioned above, that is how much I have spent on the community in running private ragnarok servers, not including my own time, staying up late and making sure everything runs smoothly. I have been through an absolute ton of crap but I am courteous to everyone and I will continue to run my servers with passion and effort until the day I decide to stop.

That's a lot of money for their webhosting services... but it's possible since Jasc has at least 3 website designs made (that I can remember clearly). He probably bought the advanced packages, so I guess that's probable XD. I don't know about the designs from Justin though.

The other values seem plausible. At least you use the deisngs you bought well =D. You get what you paid for after all.

I agree with Triper with his comment. Though, I don't think both server owners want to bring that up again =/ (though I am curious -shrug-). This thread could use a lock since the issue is mainly resolved in the end XD.
