Due to an unfortunate turn of events, I’m putting a website template (HTML/CSS coded) designed by me up for sale here.
I do not know whether server owners are interested in purchasing  premade designs at all, but I thought I’d give it a shot anyway, as I’d hate to see all the work go to waste :>

If you should choose to purchase this design, it will come with the following:

• Sliced design images (the header image comes as PNG-24, which will allow you to add your logo without having to deal with quality-loss)
• HTML/CSS Template for the main site, as well as a sub-site ( no Flux/CMS integration )

Starting price will be $60
(after doing some research here, it seems reasonable?) for the above mentioned, add-ons (listed below) will be priced separately. Ultimately, the highest bidder will be getting the template and/or other design work.
Starting from the day the first offer comes in, I’ll leave this up and open for a week, so if more offers should come in, I’ll let everyone know and if necessary, you can choose to raise your offer.

I bid 1 dollar, as the top half I've seen somewhere before, and looks oddly similar to another server that just went down recently.

Not to deter from your selling of a premade, but it's theme also seems to go with http://www.cloud-ro.com/cp/ as they are using the same exact image. the flying boat at the top of the screen.

It's becoming a popular image.  Big deal.  It was for the server FortuneRO I believe, which went down recently due to ... I'm not sure but I remember one of the GMs telling me it was going down.

Yes, it was indeed originally designed for FortuneRO, and after lots of drama, found it's way up here. This is why you might feel it looks "oddly similiar", Erebus, as it's the same.

Also, I've never heard of cloudRO prior to you mentioning it. The image I used is an official Artwork found in the 5th RO Aniversary Book ( I think, unless my memory tricks me). I don't really see a problem with it being used by multiple people, as everyone has their own creative approach, and the outcome will still be different. Unless you meant to imply that the designs look similiar.

I am, however, not really looking to be hired. I've designed it while being a regular player, was involved in the development process way more than I had planned to, and all I got out of it was a fair share of drama, when I simply just wanted to play.
Plus, there are already quite a few talented people around, so I don't really think there's need for another one. Unless someone chooses to approach me directly, I prefer the drama-free path and just enjoy the game

If anything, I could post some art-related stuff, but then, I rarely get the time to draw, so opening a topic that's meant to be dead from the  start probably doesn't make much sense :>

This design will definitely be worth your buy. Selphie isn't asking too much for it, any sane server owner should get it. There are many designs out there, and the affordable ones simply are just images thrown together with no obvious effort made (no offense) to make the design flow.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with using it, heck how many people have used official RO stuff and how many have pulled it off? RO chibi characters and porings are also overused.

TLDR; From a design perspective, the only gripe I have would be the layout of content. Otherwise, this design WILL attract players.

As for your concern in regards of the content - the main page has a different layout than the subsites. Basically, instead of having 3 columns, you'll have two: a small one (same width as the teasers on the left) and a wider one ( width of the 2 other columns).  I think that should be enough size given in width for displaying text - but I'll happily await your opinion if you should think otherwise :>

@selphie: Your pre-made design is nice, lively, and simple. But $60 seems too pricey as a starting price. Someone in the first page of RMS' Paid Services section sells his designs for about $45 (more or less).

Look at the threads in the Paid Services and you compare them yourself.

And be clear with your sarcasm. Do you mean her design is more or less than $45? And are you saying that her design has superior quality compared to designs sold for $45, $50+, and on?

I am not belittling her designs. I just brought up that idea coming from a business oriented perspective if she wants her creations to be sold at a competitive, yet reasonable price. Got it?

I have compared the prices, and from what I understand, those you mention basically will provide you with graphics only. As the design I'm offering is HTML/CSS coded, and will only have to be implemented within the existing CMS (if any) by whoever might choose to buy it (which I would assume is only a matter of copy-pasting the HTML parts, and replacing the css?), I went on assuming that pricing it higher than graphic-only offer would be a reasonable thing to do.
In the end, people can always approach me with different pricing ideas, I will consider every offer I get, unless it's totally unreasonable. (i.e. $1 )

Also, I didn't feel like you'd belittle my work - I'm thankful for every input I get.

You said "Website Template", so I should have known it was coded XD. It's just that... too many people these days assume website template may only be design (due to eAthena, etc). It's also because you said "the highest bidder will be getting the design work"--the words "design work" just sounded like a website design. Sorry for the assumption though!

I really do like that template, even if it is on the simple side. Great colours, clear images, good use of fonts. I hope your auction goes well! I would love to have this design if I had more money haha =D.
