Also try to get lude and quve combo is really useful at the early lvls for a super novice, mine got to 45 to 60 in 1 1/2 ! (5x) and a good party always

Sorry mate, Super Novice isn't what I'm working with here. =P I'm using a Perma Novice. Still, the combo still works for regular Novices, so I might glance at it

So far, I've found two Novice Armlets of Knock Back to be pretty useful for meh little Novice. =] The two 2% seem to arrive surprisingly quickly, and the knock back effect of the card-induced bash is pretty awesome.

condor card might be a nice garment card since it's a low level monster and you would only be a novice.

also possibly the paper,wild rose,wanderer,shinobi, and dancing dragon combo could be good since it gives nice amount of flee, agi, increase aspd, and movement. you wouldn't need a lot of hp if you can't get hit.

chonchon and dragon card combo could be used for agi and flee also.

lunatic gives some perfect dodge and if you also have eclipse you will get like 18 flee rate.

those are just a couple agi/flee cards.  good hp ones have been mentioned but thief bug egg will do better on shield probably it gives +400 hp.
