Although this certain patch had been released a long time ago, i still haven't tried them yet. Probably because i think they are lame since they can't reborn.

Anyway, nowadays i feel like trying on them, just for collecting materials for my merchant classes and kill those annoying bots. They have to be strong enough to dish out enough damage since i'll be looking for maneater blossoms, steels, irons, and coals. But i'm just uncertain what to raise to make them powerful.

The gunslingers in my server are, well, very inexperienced and undependable. They even have hard times changing into gunslingers or ninjas.

People said that it's better to use ninja's elemental attacks rather than hiding techniques and throwing skills to hunt down their prey.

I'm planning to use a revolver gunner and elemental ninja, so how can i raise their stats and skills to maximise their potential "without any partners, cards and upgraded or powerful rare equipment" and "only with the equipments bought from NPCs"?

Your guidance is very much appreciated.
Thank you for you time and attention.

Could you describe what environment you server is? Such as rates, customs..etc

I changed my mind, i'll create a melee ninja instead, seems cooler and works almost like a thief.

The server i'm playing in is:
>1x, 1x, 1x(i think).
>A PvP server, almost every map has PvP function.
>Too empty, hardly any players because it's still rather new.
>Filled with bots, mostly taekwon, mage, acolyte, and merchant classes.
>Filled with rude and shameless players(mostly swordies), keeps on KS-ing me and won't stop asking for buffs and stuff(which i always rejects), and i can do nothing to them because we're still in our first form.

lol leave?

as for ninjas.... most ppl use them for magic purposes.... but i know one person that has an awesome mele ninja build =3

but ya lvl'ing a mele ninja at the beginning might be a bit of a challenge for you... but i wish you the best of luck still ^^

I see, so...
>Gunslingers need dex for attack power, so does it mean that i just need treat it like an archer?
>Ninja, depending on the type, should be treated either a thief or mage, right?

pretty much ^^
the good thing bout ninja's is they have their lil skills (i forget the name atm XDDD) that protect em from getting hit

and on the plus for the gunslingers they have more attack related skills then most archers
but be warned.... most gunslinger bullets ARE NOT element enchanted... which can get a little annoying at times

ngjoko

Does every gun type use the same ammo?

I saw an NPC saying something about spheres and most of them are elemental. Are those bullets?

well there are bullets and grenades...

Grenade Launchers use the grenades...
while the rest of the guns just use the bullets

ngjoko

i just made my gunner. i'd never imagine he's so hard to train... Raising his job level is way too much of a chore with my low attack power, should've seen that coming :o

if i'm right, there're only a few types of revolver and their attack power are no better than a main gaunce, oh, well, should've seen that coming...

is there anymore things i need to know about gunners or melee ninjas?

I can't find any weapons for ninjas except for fuuma shurikens and ashura.

Are there any other weapons for ninjas?

well ninjas can use daggers, shurikens, fuma shurikens, and kunais
lol ya gunners are slow to lvl....

but on the plus job lvl 70 for em =3

but on the plus for gunners when u finally get them to a high enough job lvl their skills can do massive damage =P

ngjoko

They turned out disasterous, i had no choice but to remove and forget all about them. Luckily, i was able to get the refund from those bullets, thanks to my alchemist.

I know this may be extremely late, so I'm hoping that you'd have at least found another friendlier server, or at least have had a better run with both classes.

Regarding Gunslingers. Gunslingers are not Archers - it's an easy mistake, but that's the fact. They have five weapon types, each with their own speciality. Grenade Launchers are the only weapons which ammunition is elemental - excluding Endows. Rifles are for their Critical Hit bonuses and Tracking, which allows you to hit ANYTHING in the game. Gatling Guns on the other hand is reliant on high attack speeds and as such large unwieldy weapons go, require you to fight from a distance. In PvP, people favour Shotguns and Handguns because they are the best source of damage for Gunslingers.

In response to your complaint of the lack of weapon attack power in Handguns, I'd like to assure you that the damage comes from the damage bonuses from cards, various items, and most of all, the Skills. Among the non-transcended classes, Desperado has perhaps the greatest damage potential in the game.

Ninjas are a something else. There are three major types of Ninja builds: Magic (aka Ninpou), Throwing and Final Strike (Issen). The first is utilises Blaze Shield, Raging Dragon, Lightning Spear, Hidden Water and Kamaitachi. Throwing Ninjas with fair amounts of AGI utilise Shurikens and Kunais; due to their focus in STR, some also take Final Strike as an optional skill. Final Strike Ninjas focus on STR and Max HP for damage, maybe a small amount of DEX for the optional Throw Shuriken.

I'm not sure how much satisfaction you've found from your "melee" Ninja, but by now you'd probably notice the deficiency of melee support skills. Which is rather in-character, if you think about it: Ninjas never stand face-to-face with an opponent. They fight from a distance and from the shadows.

Shikamaru
