But... Newbies don't wana lose HP...

Personally, I just feel like ranged classes in general win at RO. Gunslingers included. Fighting at range is remarkably newbie-friendly, because you tend not to get hit. Especially if you pick your targets with a little care, such as leveling up on immobile enemies from way the heck outside their attack range.

I remember playing a Gunslinger on a high-rate server. Sure, MVP's could one shot me. If they reached melee. But I could critlock them with blinding aspd to the point that I could solo anything that didn't shoot back. No MVP cards, no super rare drop equips. Just point and click.
I'll stop posting when I'm dead.

Yes, ranged characters are newbie friendly; gunslingers on a low-rate are not. Why? Cause as soon as a new GS player posts something on their server's forums or asks ingame(about builds, equips, etc), they'd unexpectedly get flames, l2p's(learn-to-play's) and be forced to switch jobs. Happens a lot.

Sigh... We're in an age when "pros" tell ppl what to do and those who don't follow get flamed/insulted. RO ain't "fun" no more. It's all pro this and noob that. It's quite sad...

Too bad the whole popular newb friendly tactics is to go Edp/SB/Lnk and Asura.

And Loki... Could i quote that and make it my siggie?  :D

You already did. And I wouldn't mind anyways. If you play GS, you to l2target noobs. Because if you try to challenge a pro, be prepared to get disappointed. Especially if its Novices who comes into PvP. You don't want to mess with them. Their mouths of fury internal bleeds your ears.

I suppose this has shed light on the topic.

However, I'm still using my gatling for PvM :3

1.5kdmg/s without buffs isn't bad.

It is.

In pure dmg/s, crit sin will outdamage linked EDP SB. Do you see critsins in WoE?

The point is not to deal as much damage as possible, it's to deal as much damage as possible in shortest amount of time, otherwise people will simply outpot it.

That's why any successful GS(If they even exist) are all vit-desperado.

Crit Sin -> Constant DPS
EDP SB -> Burst DPS

Desperado is effected by Bragi and is blockable by SW making it a good alternative to melee DPS in a defense.  If not by AD, then by Desperado.

I'm sorry, but we all know SHR is known as "all-broken place"

It blinds you with a 10% chance. Blind=no targetting=dead.

It has a huge delay after using it, during which you're sort of "dur hur hey i sure did shoot ya *dies*"

Use it to finish off people, if anything.  I'm more for the Lever-Action Rifle crit-based build personally.
