Hey guys!  Can anyone teach me how to use Flat Map Maker on GRF editor step by step?  I'd like to flat map payon fld 10.  Thanks in advance!

misterj

put pay_fild10.gat/gnd/rsw in its own grf. then open that grf in grf editor.
tools -> flat map maker. click generate grf
modify options if you want, and youre done

then, enjoy your crappy looking ro. you need a big imagination if you wish to play with such a thing.

When I generate map, I get an error after. Am I doing it wrong? I checked the 'Use this GRF' option

probably. it works just fine for me. make sure your version of grf editor is as new as possible and it should work out better. if it fails, i dunno what to do.

as for just getting back the textures it needs - well, you're just looking at the textures it uses to generate it, the grf should be in the output folder it opens for you ...

Here's what I did.

I opened GRF Editor v1.8.2 >  Opened the GRF located at D:\ > Tools > Flat map maker > Under Generate maps, I checked the "use this grf" for the location of input maps then clicked "Generate maps"

It leads to an error saying FlatMapsMaker\OutputTextures\maps.grf not found
