Change Pneuma Colour

Has this been done before? And if not, would it be possible to get some assistance on the matter? I tried editing the .bmp files, but when I view the pneuma1, 2, and 3 .str files, they won't associate my edited .bmp file with it, saying the resource isn't there even though it's clearly in the same folder. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
