ProteusRO]http://proteus-ro.com]ProteusRO promises to be an outstanding server with a dedication to its players, PvP, Battlegrounds and WoE. There will be no super over powered custom items available only to donates, because it's not fun when RO is only about how much money you have to spend on the game.
Rates: x150/x150/x50, You've probably played RO enough that you know getting to level 99 takes a while, so x150 feels like a natural way to do things, where as keeping drop rates down at 50 so not everyone is Diablos'd out by week 2.
Max Job 70
Max Base 99: Ragnarok was designed to be played with these caps. The hope is that people work as a team and that Ifrit can't be soloed. It also complements the other vanilla aspect of no wings.
No Wings: They are usually over powered if they do get added, but really the thing we really don't like about them is how they obstruct vision.
BG/WoE Focus: There's more than one way to get consumables, BG,V4P,Blank Cards, WoE points, and if all else fails you can probably donate for some of them too. To start the server off, there will be WoE on week two, escalating depending on popular opinion. There is a good chance of WoE 2.0 with slightly nerfed barricades around week two as well.
Devotion to players: You may have noticed I use "chance" and "probably" a lot. That's because player opinion matters a lot to us, we listen to players suggestions, and if most players agree, they are usually added.
Events: There are many daily events on ProteusRO. Though most of them are automatic some of them are also GM held. The prize for automatic events comes in the form of poring coins which can be exchanged to an NPC for a variety of different hats given at random. The events come in many different forms so that anyone can win get hats regardless of their skill set.
Poring Coins: Not only from events folks! If you're the type of person who always misses events and always gets the most useless cards there are, you can trade your cards for poring coins!
Account based Zeny: Sick of having to move your zeny from character to character on the same account? Have no fear! your zeny is shared between all of your characters.
Custom Story lines: Even though official new content for Pre Renewal RO is dying out, it doesn't mean we can't create our own! New unused maps create a superb scene for new quests, and if anything ever works in pre renewal, the quests can easily be moved elsewhere. Currently there is one storyline in development, part one already complete with part two in the works.
Healer/Buffer: To help you with leveling the healer can give you most buffs (no edp or fcp you'll have to get that on your own folks!) you can choose which ones you want and don't want with an item you get when you first enter the game. This item can also fulfill a few other functions, mostly to do with settings.
Donations: Donations for the most part just speed up the game. Nothing donators get non donators can't get with a little work. Equality between donators and non donators is something we strive to uphold.

Beta accounts will be wiped and a new final installer will be released on Thursday, and the server will be down until mid-day Friday when the server opens.
