OK, I'm currently 85/52 full support scholar (mostly leeched then used exp item turnins to lvl) on a Low Rate server. My guild is fairly inactive and it's difficult to find parties otherwise because I play at odd times. I can't solo due to the build. I can reset for a donation fee, but I want to make sure I get it right this time. My current build is, more or less a cookie cutter support build. I have no interest in PvP or playing Offense in WoE.

Here's what I cooked up for my naked 99 stats:
Str 10
Vit 67
Int 92
Dex 110

With WoE gears+bless my stats will be:
Str 20
Vit 78/68 (Survivor Set[reality]/Proxy Skin Fragment[dream])
Int 102
Dex 140 (Then +10 Dex Food for 150)
I'll have a Thara Valk Shield and Feather Beret on when I'm not breaking Precasts.

For PvM I'll switch out dex gears for int & siroma/imp accessories or a 4x Pitman Rod depending on where I hunt.

I've played this build a little on the test server and I think I can do marginally well PvM-wise with it, but the test server doesn't really give an accurate WoE perspective when I was testing solo. At 89% capacity I should be able to carry a fair amount of gems/webs/mastelas for WoE, but the low weight capacity will diminish my ability to solo for long periods of time.

As far as skills go, I'm basically support without Soul Siphon & Mind Breaker with two offensive skills:

I don't like reducing Indulge, especially with a larger sp pool, but I really want that extra Heaven's Drive point for mobbing. I chose to max Fire because of Fiber Lock and Stone Curse. Was considering lowering safety wall for more Cold Bolt, but a higher SW is probably more useful.

My big question is, is this build survivable in WoE without big $$$ equips (things like Combat Knife/Proxy Skin Fragment)?

Gankz

Well, in a fully geared WoE, you'd -only- be able to survive with those high end equips. Frankly speaking, any kind of bolter prof is a bad idea in WoE, even if you aren't bolting, it just isn't that great of an idea. You're also not going to have very fun in PvM due to the WoE stats. If I were you I'd save your FS build, and make a hindsight sage, to get a second prof. That or just make a high priest to leech your professor at anubis.

What server do you play, if I may ask?

MtFujiInMyPants

I was afraid and expected that I was gonna get that as a response :-\ I play on EuphRO. EVERYBODY does Anubis here (As of me typing this there are 11 of about 175 non-venders in Sphinx4). Maybe I just need to pioneer a new leeching spot/method for the new world, any suggestions? :D

The average Scholar build for woe:se is this:

Str: Leftover or none
Agi: Some to reduce animation delay [if you got gym passes, drop strength and put all points into here]
Vit: 97 or 100 total, not in between
Int: 50~63 [the number you choose must be able to be divisible by 5 or 7]
Dex: As much as you can
Luk: never

Equips:

Headgear: Large Baphomet Horns [or Feather Beret] maybe even Ulle's Cap w/ Nightmare if there are no slotted mids
Mid: Slotted Midheadgear w/ Nightmare
Lower: Gentlemen's Pipe
Armor: BG Armor [because of the resistance]
Weapon: Combat Knife OR Quad drops if you can't afford Combat Knife
Shield: Valkyrie Shield w/ Horn card and a Valkyrie Shield w/ Thara Frog to swap
Manteau: Proxy Skin Fragment w/ Raydric or Noxious [I prefer Raydric]
Footgear: Diabolus Boots w/ Green Ferus
Accessory: Orlean's Gloves with Zerom
Accessory: Orlean's Glove with Zerom

Those are the ideal equips for a dispel Scholar. If you want clarifications on certain things, feel free to ask.

MtFujiInMyPants

Yeah, that's pretty similar to what I currently have, or planned to have once I hit 99. Small equipment changes here and there like Survivor set, Variant Shoes, etc but a very similar cookie cutter build as I mentioned before. BG armor didn't really occur to me, so thanks for that idea. Just curious, why 97 or 100, but not between?

My issue isn't the lack of being able to WoE. My issue is wanting to solo with a bolt and AoE skill and still being a formidable supporter and surviving in WoE. From everything I've read and seen though, there seems to be no room for a hybrid of this type. I'd welcome any other points of view.

tl;dr I want to kill things PvM, and Support & Survive in WoE

Nico

Yeah, there really isn't any room for hybrids =/. To be a bolter, you need a good amount of int which means reduced stats in the ones you really need the most.

About the vit, 97 gives stun immunity [there's also the argument where luks plays a role in this], and 100 vit gives, stun, curse, and silence immunity. Anything in between is just not worth it.
