Introduction:
Welcome players!  Avris Ragnarok Online is finally here.  We'd like to present to you a server that is built for you, not for us.  Whether the population is low or not, this server will not be closing so there will be no wipes and no worries for your efforts spent here!  Development will take place often and the server will continue to grow in both population and features.  The staff of Avris will always be active and attempting to bring new products to the server to enhance your gameplay.  We won't be releasing a server just to keep it the same throughout months and years like the other servers.

Looking for competition? We're giving you a clean start, a fresh beginning, and a crazy race to be at the top!
Looking for a great community?  We're supporting and implementing as much PvE concept within AvrisRO as well as partying to conquer any difficulties together!

The Staff of Avris:
We are a group of individuals with various experience and knowledge.  We have no connections with each other other than our goal of making a great server for you.  There is no size limit to our staff as we encourage the idea of having all sorts of knowledge to help make Avris Ragnarok Online grow.  Of course, we carefully select these individuals to help ensure the security and stability of the server remains throughout the years.  Every staff member will not have a legitimate account as we wish to keep our staff professional.  The staff of Avris is not here to make something and just disappear.  We are always trying to find new and innovative ways to improve (but not change) your gameplay.

What you are getting in to:
This is not your average server.  What we aim to provide you is a server this is convenient, fun, competitive in different aspects, and a great community for you to meet new players and actually play with them.  We do not tolerate with any mischief from the staff or from the players.  Please note that when joining this server, we expect you to respect us and our work.  Because we are constantly trying to improve this server, changes to what you are use to will be made.  If you are by any chance repulsed by our actions, please address it in a proper manner.  We are responsible and professional enough to take your opinions in to consideration as long as you can follow our rules of conduct and guidelines.

Server Custom NPCs:
Here is a list of the Custom NPCs that we have in Avris Ragnarok Online.  Please understand that changes to these NPCs can be made and that as the server grows, we'll be developing and introducing more over time!  Bolded NPCs are ones that have been heavily touched upon or is completely new.

- Rental NPC - 1K charge
- Platinum NPC - 10K charge
- Kafra Storage NPC
- Custom Stylist (with many new hair styles!)
- Healer NPC charging 2k for both HP/SP.  1k for HP or SP.
- Job Changer NPC / Rebirth NPC
- NPC tomb (this NPC spawns where the MVP was slain [one NPC per MVP map] and will have a timer to tell when the MVP will respawn
- Reset NPC

One free reset for both skill and stats regardless of level
- 10k zeny cost for one type of reset (20k for both) for those under base level 50
- 100k zeny for base level reset or skill, 200k for both between base level 51 - 98
- Zeny cost has a 50% chance to increase your cost by twice the amount per reset (Raises awareness of resetting and gives a little risk behind doing so)
- Upon reaching base level 99, your reset counter goes back to 1 which ultimately means that it only costs 100k for one reset and 200k for both, however, the risk of your cost doubling per reset remains

Doubling effect: If you so happen to land on the negative effect of the reset, your next reset will cost twice the amount you would normally pay. If it happens again, your next reset is three times the amount you would normally pay. And again it will become four times the amount. Upon hitting base level 99, the total cost will drop back down to 100k, giving a fresh new start and a greater sense of accomplishment for hitting level 99.

- The doubling effect will also reset if you rebirth
- Tokens can be used to reset your doubling effect and bring it back to 100k zeny
- Tokens can be purchased through donation and can be found by several monsters in game. It will have a 0.01% drop rate. These items will eventually be considered rare and will be sold amongst players to help balance the economy as well as zeny worth.  Event tokens are accepted as well.

Example of doubling for someone who is above base level 51:
100k or 100k for both reset > Lands on negative effect > Next reset is 200k or 400k for both reset > Doesn't land on negative effect > still 200k or 400k for both reset > Lands on negative effect > 300k or 600k for both reset (MAXED OUT) Land on negative effect > Still 300k or 600k for both reset > hits level 99 or rebirths > 10k or 20k for both reset (under base level 51 now)

Doubling will not happen for those under level 51

- Warper NPC

- Offers basic dungeon entrance and town warping
- Quest/fee for dungeon to open (such as Rachel Sanc) required
- Has a 1k zeny fee for instant warping
- Slow warping will warp you to a loading map (Custom town map or field map etc.) where you may do various things
- 1 minute loading time

Free warp requires you to wait one minute. In the meantime, you are warped to a custom map where players may interact with each other for a bit.  One NPC will be there for players who wish to cancel the loading, another NPC will be there as the healer for those who forgot to heal.
Skills will be allowed to prepare themselves.

Once arriving at the loading map, players will receive a pop-up to let them know that they may access the map to view the vendors or set one up by talking to an NPC located at 'x' in Prontera. A box to check "Do not show again" will be provided.

The loading map will have a max number of vendors, as well as a time limit to how long they can auto-vend there. Also, you may purchase a Donor's vending spot. A donator may buy a personal vending spot (one that is considered as the hot spot) and keep it for an 'x' amount of days.  This map acts like a personal vending advertisement and a last minute shop for many.

Players who do not wish for this loading time and wants to directly access their selected area may pay a 1k zeny fee.
The instant warping feature will be at the top of the selection menu when interacting with the Warper NPC.

While on the Loading map, once their 1 minute has passed up, a menu will pop-up asking if they wish to proceed now. Clicking no will leave them on the map. Clicking yes will warp them.

- Dungeon Party NPC

This NPC offers you a dungeon that requires a party to enter.  Only two parties can use this NPC at a time.  One for the higher levels, and one for the lower levels.  Upon using it, you will be required to wait an hour to use it again.  The leader of the party will compete with other leaders in accessing this NPC by signing up his/her party first.

What this NPC provides is a feature that encourages and promotes partying.  The NPC will allow one party below level 51 to enter the easier dungeon while another party above level 51 to enter the harder dungeon.  Both dungeon will be a custom map (with a time limit) of very hard mobs that are significantly stronger than the ones that you encounter in the real dungeons.  The benefit however is increased EXP rates and drop rates!  Of course, this has been tested so that a party is a must.

As a prize for using this NPC and partying with players in the server, we will deploy an MVP (that is significantly stronger) that will also have greater drop rates and exp rates.  The question is, can you handle it? 

Gameplay:
- Rates are 10/10/5/1 (Base/job/drop/MVP)
- Max level is 99/70 (Transcendant)
- Max attack speed is 190
- Party level gap is 15
- 10% party bonus EXP per character
- Anti-leeching: staying AFK for 5 minutes will cut off any incoming EXP and loot
- Rare items that let's you warp to your party
- No Renewal system
- Multi-clienting is allowed
- Anti-Hack System (Harmony)
- Prontera hometown
- Custom map for vendors
- Cooldown on spells within towns (Anti-skill-spamming)

More custom features coming your way!
- Guild Alliances and Antagonists being able to fight outside of towns to increase competition outside of War of Emperium and to make MVPing more challenging
- Faction: there will be a total of 3 or 4 alliances to choose from to which you can join to help conquer the world of Avris as!  Each alliance will have fun custom quests along with rankings and unique features that will surely get you hooked on!
- Improved Party Dungeon NPC: introducing newly added custom maps as "floors" with different custom mobs and original mobs!
- Much, much more! We are on an unending quest to add more custom features to improve your gaming experience!

Guild Packages:
We'd like to let everyone know that guild packages exists in Avris!  Joining our server alone? Have no fear!  We thought about this and decided that the server opening will be a fresh and clean start so that both single players and guilds will be on equal ground levels.  Don't worry if you think that you'll be missing out any guild packages because your guild is old--guilds won't receive any packages until the end of the first month.  All existing guilds will receive a congratulatory package (contents are yet still unknown) while any new-coming guilds that are joining the server from there on will receive a welcoming guild package.  The congratulatory package will have different contents than the welcoming guild package--slightly better contents I might add!
