Descent

I would like an explanation of this, please.

BlackoutRO and XileRO, I can understand having that amount of votes. But this defies all logic and mathematical reason, so I ask for you to explain this to the users of this forum.

Defending ones self when they have been attacked for doing nothing wrong is acceptable, but please do not incite this kind of flame war.

3 days.

Haha, wow. At it already, Ymir? Come on bud, cheatin' ain't fair(Not that you give a rat's donkey). I'm curious as to how you're doing it too really. So, as Descent said, do fill us in. Fill us ALL in.

Edit : 3058 | 193 now.

ALSO: Anyone remember this?

Quote from: GM-YmirNo actually, Ymir-RO runs many other servers. Which we get votes from as well. And the 25 online is a horrid underestimation of the server. As for "LainAI" he's been banned on multiple servers for a variety of reasons, specifically RebirthRO and micRO I believe. You have a choice to believe him, who was horrendously racist to all denominations other than Caucasian. In fact he suggested we ban all foreigners from playing the server, to which I disagreed with him and then long story short he ended up abusing myself and other players, and requested a ban because I would not give him items or ban foreigners. I'm a patient person, but I have limits as does every other GM. The administrators from other servers should know what it is like to be in my place at the moment, a kid started abusing players racistly, demanding items and even threatening to DDOS the server, clearly the choice was simple to ban him.

PS: One last thing, Ymir-RO security is highly competent, all passwords are encrypted and we create our own software such as our own CP so we don't need to use the constantly glitchy Ceres CP.

Not off topic as one might think, still holds some purpose on this matter. And since I don't want people sayin' stuff. I quoted the entire post. But for everyone to read easier, just don't read the strike-out text.

We of Ymir-RO heard about this recently. It's probably just one of our players. We aren't too thrilled about it either.

Here's our forums thread on it.
Proof or it didn't happen.
All server reviews are based on a reviewers experience.
This is how negative server reviews work.
Eddy, carrots are good for your eyes, can it dial a phone.

Oh well, what can you do?
Seriously, there isn't really anything you can do besides try to shame that person as if it makes a significant difference.

That doesn't quite add up too well, no?  ???
If it was not your intention, will you be speaking to the voting site and trying to fix the obviously cheated votes? Or will we continue to see you with a ridiculously high number of votes on those sites each month?
Don't worry, be happy =(

Indeed, I suspect a player is doing this. However there's not a lot that can be done from my end. If I find out whoever is doing this, I will certainly make sure they are punished for breaking the rules.

On another note, Descent. Don't you have better things to do other than continually stalk my server? How long ago was it where you attacked one of my players for reviewing the server?
Come visit my server at (www.Ymir-RO.net)

And how long ago was it when you attacked Descent? Hmm.... ;p

We aren't server patrol here, however, when we find shtuff out of the ordinary, we post it.
Like how I posted about Ecchi RO.
I find random stuff, Like how Phranxis had porn site as his website.
I guess that was for laughs.
That guy truly is weird. o.o

Oh, I'm sorry, I find it completely odd how a server with low player count has 3,000 votes, not to mention a forum thread made half an hour after mine? It's not like I sit here and stroke my neckbeard while thinking of ways to ruin Ymir-RO, I found this while looking at my own server's statistics.

3691 | 251 now. Just after a few hours. You sure are doing something about it, aren't ya Ymir? Rofl. Let's see, seven or so minutes til the next hour. I'm curious as to how high it pops up / hour.

Pandora

Sure doesn't seem too bothered by this uh.. "must be a player, can't do anything". Even if it's true that it's not coming directly from ymir himself he should be doing something about it, contacting the topsite for one, asking whoever is doing it to stop, etc.

Like Kozua Nekiem posted it's not the first time there is voting cheat from ymir-ro, although last time ymir said it came from real people, who apparently didn't play his server but voted anyway, which made little sense, and ironically when they implemented the capcha on top200 that month the ymir votes dropped drastically. Seems rotop100 do nothing to stop bot-voting.

Why shouldn't we speak up about it, when we see blatant cheating, it's exactly the kind of post that belong in the Hall Of Shame.
heRO is a great friendly, pre-renweal, unique and fun server with a great community, give it a try!

I also find it strange how with the re-release of Ymir, this couldn't be timed any better.

So yes, Ymir. As a server owner who encourages his players to do the right thing and vote without botting/cheating, and as a server owner who has enough self-respect not to stoop that low, I think I and many others should be allowed to have a problem with this.
