Updating eathena svn with Cygwin.

Sorry, once again - but I thought that they would be the same. I only ever use trunk, since it gives me most flexibility :P. Anyhow, if you are Updating to a different directory than your current eA install, you shouldn't need to back up. You will just have to copy over the compiled version once you have done it.


Although, just to be safe, you should keep a back up somewhere.

ok, so if i only want to update but i installed my server to a differnt palce.. what do i do? and also, after i update i need to compile right? can sum1 link me to a guide on how to re-compile the server >>

coz now i am busy for those university addmission stuff  >.<!!! and it makes me so messed up lol .

i am attempting to run the downlaoded one using cygwin... but it says it doesnt have permission to run it -_-

There is, but it kind of hard to understand for beginners.

If you don't mind making a "for dummies" version, so that not only me, but everyone else who asks can recompile an svn.
