For this guide, I'm going to use Photoshop CS4. Photoshop CS3 can refer to this guide as well; the procedures and interfaces are similar.

I. Single Image Emblems
II. Abstract Emblems

I. Single Image Emblems

1. Open Photoshop CS4.

2. Hit Ctrl + N or go to File -> New to create a new canvas.

3. Set the width and height of the canvas to 24 px. Canvas name is optional. Press OK.

4. If you want your emblem to have transparencies, fill your "Background" layer with the color #ff00ff. This color appears transparent in RO. For this guide, I will make a transparent background.

5. Choose a stock image for your emblem. Don't choose an image size too large 'cos when you try to resize it to around 24x24, the image loses quality (I recommend around 24x24 to 35x35 image sizes). Once you have found one, copy the image, open a new canvas on Photoshop, and paste it on the canvas.

6. Move the stock image from its canvas to the Emblem canvas using the move tool (drag your mouse from the stock image's canvas to the Emblem canvas).

7. Move the stock image around (using the move tool) until it is positioned at the desired area.

8. If your image is like mine (with white areas) and you want your image to have transparencies, magnify emblem to make it easier for you to work, and simply use the rectangular marquee tool, and hit delete.

9. If you wish to add text, create a new layer and pixelize your text in the new layer. (To make text, use the pencil tool).

10. When you're done, save your emblem as a 24-BMP file in your C:\Program Files\Gravity\RebirthRO\Emblem folder.
