does APSD affect the spamming of this skill?

does Incantation Samurai / Thanatos Card work?

First the DEX decides as how much you can "spam" this skill, after it has instant cast the ASPD is, depending on the server config, a potion of decreasing the skill-delay of the skill.

Incarnation Samurai and Thanatos won't work afaik, your shield and the upgrade level of your shield decide the damage (I may be wrong)

Aehm.

Shield chain has 1 sec aftercast delay. Your ASPD won't matter unless you get that delay down by using kiel cards and expert rings.

If doppel adds a sufficient amount of ASPD, then yes, but if it doesn't just stick with incan, 2 tg, 1 hydra.

Aspd only matters if you're with bragi since shield chain has a fixed delay[yep, about the doppel card].
Shield chain does proc status but is 1 hit per each done so consider it as a no instead and use shield boomerang for that[yep, about that sk card].
Pike gives +1 cell range if i'm not wrong but cuts a lot the aspd to some other skills, for shield chain is good but if you want me to be honest, i would probably think about a mace too since the atk of weapons neither his refine affects the final dmg of shield chain, unbreakable weapons aren't bad. If you want and can, go get an assault spear from bg, is a good overall spear and can't be broken =D
Thanatos card doesn't work with shield chain since ice pick doesn't work and the effect is the same but works with shield boomerang from what I know and tested.

Also, refines of shields like cross shield add few dmg to sc, if you're upgrading is more for the extra def, 100-200 dmg more is like nothing.
Also, learn to swap shields to eat dmg and to use shield chain, don't be always with the same on.

I would actually use mace...a bit less aspd, but it is unbreakable.

Many servers do configure an with either DEX or AGI decreasable aftercast-delay.
Unless you don't know, if they set it up like that, you gotta try out.

As for the weapon I would also suggest using a Mace or a Pike[4] if you want to Sacrifice, too
