Forging and potion creation formulas
« on: May 14, 2008, 04:49 am »
I am trying to get a blacksmith and alchemist who can fight and create items, but i'm not sure what formula do they use to create items.

I'd played RO for 4 years already, but as wizard, hunter and priest. I was and still am not good with blade wielders. This is my first time tackling both merchant classes and unsurprisingly i'd deleted 3 merchants at above lv. 40 and 1 blacksmith already.

I know it has something to do with level, Int, Dex and Luk. Some skills and items also affect the success rate.

I'm still using a merchant which i plan to turn into an alchemist. The server i'm playing in is rather under-rated with very low drop rate i think(it even removed fly wings, butterfly wings, and teleport skill, super inconvenient) and filled with extremely strong bots(man, i hate them), earning zenny is almost impossible. It'd be sad if i start to create humonculus and fail, losing tons of zenny in the progress.

So please, if anyone knows the formula of forging and potion creation, please post it here. It'd be convenient for other beginners who want to be item creators.

/thx

Tr using the RMS test server for your builds. IroWiki or RMS should have the formulas for you.

Well that's just it, i can't find any formula though i think i'd seen them before at "www.gamefaqs.com" but now i can't find them. Also i can't find the formulas at RMS, just some general info about forging and brewing.
Dex, luk, anvil, hammer, jblv, and skills for forging.
Int, dex, luk, skills, bslv, and jblv for brewing.
What i really need is a solid formula. Thanks for the info though...

DEX = 0.1 per point
LUK = 0.1 per point
INT = 0.05 per point (brewing only).
JobLevel = 0.2 per point
There is no baselevel bonus (baselevel = more stats)

PS: You can find the formulas on skills descriptions.

if you go creator, a potter build would be crazy at ADing things. whatever build you choose, just make sure you calculate marionette control for dex to save you some stat points.

+1% per learning potion level
+3% per pharmacy level

+1% per weapon research level
+5% for the certain weapon (ie. smith mace, axe, sword... etc)

Thanks guys, i'm sure it'll come in handy.
Too bad, bots are everywhere, i think from all the players i'd seen, 85% of them are bots, 15% are players who aren't supporters like clowns, gypsies, and priests.
Guess i can only depend on my brother's monk for a little bit more dex and hope that my humonculus will succeed and not turn out to be lif or amstir because don't find them useful...
/sigh

I play in Indonesia's very own IdRO, PVP server.

I played in many international free private servers but can't really seem to enjoy them though, but i never really know why.

Oh, and the reason why i dislike amstir and lif is because i'm rather a bad player myself. I don't have any level 4 or extra slotted weapons, slotted armors, good cards, or upgrades on my current equipment because i really don't dare to try since the server lowered the chances of upgrades(you'll even fail trying to upgrade a level 1 weapon into +1).

Anyway, none of my merchants can't dodge, so i get killed very easily. Fighting enemies is a challenge. So, getting those 2 humonculuses will only slow my death since i don't think they can fight well and so do i, although they are designed to protect their alchemists but the thing is don't need protection, i need my own army to fight along side with me and my brother. Without proper gears and zenny, i can't afford having lif or amstir when killing my enemies already takes up a lot of time and they are expensive, i mean pet food and zargon, they cost a lot. Besides, fanilmirth and filir are way cuter than amstir and lif before and after evolution, which reminds me, where do you get the sage stone?

Little huts, are you out of your mind?
Whatever are the stereotypes you have on us? We have so many islands, provinces, and towns that i don't even know what jakarta looks like. You probably watched too much documentary films on satelite showing our native side.
