Download Alpha Version Build044 CRC:98559383

Extract it to a new folder

1 - Open folder "EnglishSettingFilePack", copy everything inside and paste it to the original folder. ( This changes it to English version )
2 - Open RCX.ini
3 - Find "M2E=" and change it's value to 1
4 - Find "ROWindowClass=", set it as "Ragnarok.exe". ( Careful not to change the example instead )
5 - Find "Dir=" and put in your RO directory.
6 - Scroll to the bottom, put in your [char server's IP]=[server name] (eg "111.111.11.111=MyRO" )
7 - Save the work
8 - Change your server's client.exe name to "Ragnarok"
9 - Run RCX.exe, click OK
10 - Right click on RCX window, select "Launch Ragnarok"

You're off to go.

I'm using Build048, and it works just fine.

@fluidin: I'm using Vista. Did you download this? Just in case you didn't have it before. The website says that you must have that in order to run RCX after build046, I think.

for the GPS thing:
1. Right Click the GPS window
2. Click GPS Connect
3. ID: whatever you want
4. Server: home.planetleaf.com (RCX main site)
5: Port: 19800 seems to work, not sure about any other ones.
6: Protocol: RagPos compatible
and there you go.
if you use another port, it'd probably work, which is nice if you had a whole guild on it.

And if you're wondering, I got the server/port/protocol from somewhere in the irowiki discussion thread

seems like a server side OS compatibility problem. wtf

Hmm, you know... I PM'd the guy who made the TFE video, and he was kind enough to give me his RCX.ini. I tried it, and it didn't work on the server where I previously tested with 048 (he uses build044). So, I started reading through it, and I noticed something...

Changed it to 1 and started working again. Try it. It depends on the server, though.

EDIT: Find this while looking for Storm Gust's skill id <.< It's a tutorial on how to make RCX run properly! And the best part... it's in english!

The control panel thingy problem is actually rather simple - it looks like it won't show up properly if the name of the window of your client is different from "Ragnarok". Since most, if not all, private server customize that to hell and beyond, RCX hardly ever works the way it should on them.
Some people on iRO Wiki have mentioned how RCX doesn't work properly on the Chinese official server, and guess what - the name of the window it uses is not "Ragnarok".
