RO2 Remake?

I think that Ragnarok Online 2 is going Free to play, due to so much MMORPGs on the market nowadays. Personally I still think Ragnarok Online 1 (Though the RO2 looks pretty nice, still don't know how it is going to be) is one of the best MMORPGs around, only problem being that its population is scattered over the planet (Official and Private servers).

I actually tried the RO2 Pre-remake on a private server it had almost nothing to do with the current Ragnarok Online, however the developers scrapped the idea and remade it to be a continuation to RO1 according to the iRO-wiki thread. So all I can do now is hope for the best.

P.S: Several iRO-wiki forum users have been part of the beta of RO2 and according to the thread, beta testers are going to be invited once again to participate in the new RO2 beta-phase which is coming soon (October if not pushed back Blizzard-style). So we might pretty much get a lot of updates from the players there.

Did anyone notice, that in the pic for RO2 that the thief isnt a "Assassin" cause all the other classes were 2-1's ;O does this mean assassins are gone (yesss! LOL)

Really happy they are gonna re-worked, but at the same time a bit sad, since i kinda liked the 'Recruit" class art design, but that just me XD i can see someone ripping the 3d models to mod em into a tf2 custom engine >.>... aaanyway going back to topic, i'm looking forward for how the rebirth classes are gonna look like ^___^

I too would love to see merchants. They are probably, however, going to allow all classes to vend in RO2.

While I tend to agree, I wouldn't say it's out of the question. The iROwiki topic has many interesting posts discussing this same issue, pointing out that the majority of Gravity's revenue is actually coming from the cash shop system.

I use to play RO2 priv server called euphro2. It was fun but they had to change my name

and i was like top of the top wizard

All i have are error screens now..its been so many years...

I can't wait to see the new RO2. I've always planned to play RO2 before it came out but never got around to it because of time restraints. Then I heard from other people that it sucked so I just didn't see a point to try it out xD

But yeah, I really wouldn't want to have to pay to play it though =X

That's a screenshot I made on an old server when I was playing around with the NPC cutins.
I merely changed the kafra's cutin-image in the data\texture\À¯ÀúÀÎÅÍÆäÀÌ½º\illust folder, no idea if there was an NPC sprite with the looks of Hard Gay.

I had it from one of those customize ro sprite / npc distribution sites, which (aside of a lot of H content -_-), made stuff like

Sages flying on brooms job sprites, ingame Pantie items that actually look like women's panties

I had them from pages such as Crystalline Dreams, some asian Sakage thing, ..
Sadly, those pages are offline for a few years already and newer ones who had them (Ro-Enhance?) closed recently too.
What I have left doesn't contain the Hard Gay either.

-> Are there newer pages that host custom ro content? Maybe you can find someone who still has them.
Perhaps there's even a new site who hosts all those customizations.

On Topic:
I hope they'll make it properly this time. What did they with it on the first attempt really can be summarized with "Unripe Puku Puku".
