Two ways....first, reduce the damage you deal, but yea...that's useless. Second, dispell the pala. Possible only by having a Prof or using Rangis card. So, it might not be possible either. This will work only against paladins, reflect from equip can't be dispelled.

your right reducing my damage is the most useless thing...
grrr... how i wish i had that dispell in my skill tree... our server removed the effect of VRc for balanced purposes... i guess fighting against paladin in a 1v1 situation will always be a neck to neck fight...

I'd use two ways...first, get a lot of neutral reductions. All decent pala's damaging skills are neutral, except for holy/grand cross. If he's using those, go for holy reduction instead. Second, get a reflect stuff yourself. It will reflect both his damage AND damage done to you by reflect (if your server is updated enough, I think it was added quite recently).

my only neut reduction stuff is a raydric on a +9 diablos mant... i can't afford to lose my tao... other than that i have demi human damage reduction cards and equips like thara and feather beret...

It's HR? If it's, does he have Tao? or Ghost? Full reflection equip? (i mean, Strong Shield, Alice, High Orc, Maya, Valky Manteau).

If playing Tao, first of all, divest him or break his armor (if not using Valky). Try using Wikebine Tres Card to divest him. You can also try Atroce Sword or Mailbreaker (if sloted, you can also try using Metaling Card to take his weapon off) if you know that not using Valky (besides it's almost sure wearing that). Try using Death Guideance if avaiable in your Server, that may solve your problem, regaining HP while damaging (also Sniper MvP Card will work). The way to win is having more HP that him and try to avoid all (or almost all) damage receive (or regain some HP while damaging). If Wearing Tao, you have to take it of from him, that way you reduce his Max HP to a half. You must first atack him by Bashing, Spiral, anyway. After you are almost die (use mastelas/berrys if possible to avoid this), play berserk (frenzy). This restores all your HP (if you have Tao, this must be enough), reach 190 ASPD and try killing him by DPS using Death Guidance (if possible). If not possible, you can try Execuitoner (if wearing Archangeling or Pali Combo, it will be painful for him) or any PvP carded weapon. You can also try using Ranged Skills to avoid reflection, but Defending Aura will make this hard.

@Sarin: Is true that reflecting damage will be also reflected? Cause for example, I deal damage, you reflect this damage and I also reflect damage reflected, and you reflect the reflection of damage dealt, and so on... =S Kind of cyclic damage dealing.

Saludos.-

oya u can coma him. use an edge, get max aspd, go.
XileRo is the only HR I know that has a reasonable PvP system. I did watch the RWC like you said, all I see is people spamming the room like every other gang fight there is in RO.

the best way to reduce reflect damage is, like others said, is to reduce that damage you give to the enemy.

anyway, the best way to fight reflect shield is to bypass it; use magic, ranged or physical attacks that ignores reflect damage, like Cart Termination, Meteor Assault, etc.

ohh btw, since you're a LK, Spiral Peirce would the best skill against a pally since it bypasses reflect and defender, but that still depends on your server (spiral on HR's suck big balls).

It should avoid reflect, it is not a melee attack.

you're right but that's not actually the reason why MA bypasses reflect sheild.

the real reason reason why MA bypasses reflect shield is because of the fact that modifiers like hydra doesn't work on MA. CT also has the same property. that also explains why those two skills can also bypass ciceda skin shedding.

i dunno why it is like that but on my experience on tweaking skill-db's, i found out that any physical skill that's changed to be given the property of ignoring damage modifiers will bypass reflect shield and ciceda skin shedding's effects too. i dunno if this is true on official servers too, but at least on eathena servers, it's true.

to confirm yourself, try tweaking a skill (let's say bash) on skill_db so that damage modifiers won't work on it. then test the skill on a reflect shield dummy. you'll be surprised with the results.

there is this thing called exploiting reflect dmg to cancel BB delay and spam it faster, but it has its risks.

killing reflect palas is all about finding that balance in ur dmg. or well ya trying to strip him/bypass thru certain skills.

do note TC did say he is a LK tho.

PS: the coma advice works best imho
