General Questions about official server

I never been through official server, it has always been private server for me. Seeking a private server now is so hopeless either they are low populated or either they are too old to catch up in or don't have 3rd job or another money project with OP donation items.
That why i have put my interest in officials servers, i just need some basic information about them:
What are the rates ? I heard there are many officials servers does they all have the same rates ? are they all loow rate x1 ?
That all i wanted to ask
1 more question, seriously is RO dead ? I just can't forget the old good memories i had in RO; I just wish to live those sweet memories once again

official servers have often double exp and double drop event
you can check  servers here (dont know how it is actual)

if you are active enough you can catch up pretty fast
eg iRO valk is 1x and ymir 1,5x

meh, in my experience, some official servers are just as bad and as corrupted...

go try a certain 5/5/3 private server which only "sells" random chance items rather than gears...

Depends where you live

USA: iRO, Renewal, it has both free and pay servers, there are constant XP/drop events so the actual rates are about 3-5x, relies heavily on Kafra shop. Garbage
Europe: fRO and aRO are comparatively reasonable, both are gearing for Renewal, aRO is censored which is funny
Phillipines: pRO with corrupted mods, thousands of bots and insanely overpowered Kafra Shop items. Well it's just s*** really.
