Important Notice To eAthena Server Owners
« on: Jun 06, 2009, 05:17 pm »
A player of my server has brought to my attention an exploit in the usage of @refresh. Upon testing it, I have confirmed it works as the player stated.

At this time L0ne_W0lf and ultramage from the core eAthena development team have been informed and they will be addressing this issue.

In the meantime however it is highly advised that you disable @refresh for your players, especially for servers who have PVP/WoE enabled.

I will not divulge the details of how to exploit the command publicly, and I request that no one else do so who may know about the exploit as well.

Regards,

How bad, is it allowing people to dupe or something?

Is it just remove the skill delay or what? Can you post how bad it is, I've been on some servers where it works just fine from what I can tell >.>

That's a sad thing, just because I find it so damn useful when I log into a laggy Prontera, type /aura and @refresh. And actually... aside from that, I don't use it that much...
Yeah, maybe it would be better to disable it indeed, especially if it's causing trouble.

According to a server GM:

Quote
@refresh can be used to instantly eliminate the skill delay on any skills that use the attack animation to limit their cast time, such as Arrow Vulcan, Sonic Blow, Bowling Bash, and many others

Aww, but I liked @refresh.
It's rare that I come to RMS anymore. I won't see any messages you leave me here.

Another abusable @command? Even though, @refresh is actually somewhat more useful than @mail was
