How are Gym Passes Attained?

How are Gym Passes usually attained? Is there a quest or is it tru @item command of GMs only?

Depends on the server you live on but they're usually quest/vote for point items.
Else you can't attain them, unless of course the server uses the kafra point system which i believe has it in it's db.

pretty much yea most servers have gym passes which can be bought through kafra points or donation

@both: Thanks! for answering my question. I just wanted to make sure if there was a quest laying around before I implement the Gym Pass on a NPC.

There isn't one as far as I know.
And I haven't heard about it being questable either. In official servers it was sold as a Kafra Item in pRO for instance since you have to pay to play, you got credits each time you paid for both playing and credits on your account with which you could purchase items as soon as you had enough. It may have been there to purchase.

I am curious on this too.  So once you get the gym pass what do you do?  Show it to the kafra and <what happen here> then you get your weight limit increased? 

From the item description there is trainer npc that trains you?  really?

The trainer for gym passes is in Payon, pretty much in the center, you give it to him and you receive +200 weight each use, max 10, meaning it requires 10 tickets, meaning you can get up to +2000 weight on a single character. And it's a quest skill or something like that that apparently doesn't affect the enlarge weight skill from merchants, meaning merchants could also profit out of this if they want to.
Just about 30 cells above the kafra. Should be a guy in a black suit and sunglasses. MIB.

The effect of that trainer is a little over the top but still fun to watch.

And searching for his location on a picture is just stumbled upon evidence supporting the kafra shop.

It isn't a quest skill, it's a different skill with a similar name but yeh, you can say it's a "quest skill".
Merchant skill is Enlarge Weight.
The other from Gym Passes is Enlarge Weight R.
