A Nine Tails That Can Only Be Hit By Neutral?

I've had this happen on several pServers. On the Eddga map, there is always one Nine Tails that is immune to everything but Neutral. All of the others are 100% Hits (120DEX) but when I used Arrow Storm / Double Strafing / just attack this particular Nine Tails with any element other than Neutral, it won't hit, and you get spammed with "Miss". My friend had Poison Element and he tried, too (after I tried Water & Earth (Earth is normal to miss, though)), but he still missed with Sonic Blow / Cross Impact / normal hits.

Has anyone had this happen before with Nine Tails / any other monster? o0

How much HIT do you have?

To hit a Nine Tail, 100% all the time you need a HIT of at least 200. Based on the information given, with a total of 120DEX, a hunter needs to be level 80 or higher to hit a Nine Tail every single time. I have yet to encounter a Nine Tail which is immune to all property attacks except Neutral. Btw, what is "Arrow Storm" and "Cross Impact"? This much I could guess, Arrow Storm is a more powerful version of Arrow Shower, but Cross Impact - Errr... I am clueless. It's also quite normal for a Sonic Blow sinx to miss - you see it all the time in PVP/Woe; not because of the mismatch of elemental property but mainly the lack of DEX in those sinx.

Arrow Storm is an AoE that does equal damage in a 5x5 cell (400% Attack to all foes). Cross Impact is a Guillotine Cross improved version of Sonic Blow (without the stun, though).

I have 275Hit I attacked another Nine Tail just to be sure it wasn't me, and I hit that one at 100% and killed it in about 1sec (187ASPD). I'm level 129, Ranger, and confused.

Noting this happened a couple times so far on several servers; I always think it's a GM who's messing with me, but the thing attacks me, misses me, and doesn't move as if it's controled by a human's computer mouse. It absolutely will not be hit by anything but Neutral; I didn't bring Neutral arrows with me so it's a good thing my friend could take off his Katar to get rid of the element and hit it with Neutral.

The weird thing is: I got it down to 13%HP with Arrow Storm, but after that, it just stopped hitting o0 It could hit me but we couldn't hit it.

P.S. My friend has 189Hit, but after using Cross Impact / Sonic Blow / normal attack (Poison Element) several times, and me using DS, Arrow Storm, and normal attacks (Water Element), it would get hit at least once without fail. That's inevitable. Once he changed to Neutral, he hit at 100%; I really don't get that.

I had no idea you are on Renewal mechanics. Don't monsters' stats/level in renewal changes - maybe even monster skills? Forget what I said about 200HIT for Ninetails, that applies to Non-Renewal. Best to check with your GM.

Renewal Nine Tail is a lvl72 monster and has a HIT of 310 and FLEE of 335.

This happened before Renewal - about 2 years ago - as well. I was 99/70 then, and NO BODY could hit the gosh darn monster. It's as if its Flee was 1000 unless you used Neutral o_O And I could hit every other Nine Tails on renewal at 100% Hit; it was just THIS one that was immune to everything but Neutral.

It's not the renewal mechanics; it's so weird magical thing that happened to me a few times and my friend once.

The first time it happened, it was in Payon Dungeon 4 on an HR. The other three times (on all four different servers) was on the Eddga map on MRs and it was weird as heck. It's occured over the past two years four times.

I think it's because the Ninetails changed its element.  "Run Attribute Change" is listed in its skill list.

Oh, really? What does it turn into? Any of them?

I also heard somewhere, someone had scripted a "Run For Your Life" event where Novices would run and and they'd send NineTails after you.

It required a mob_db entry and the actual script, but more often times than not, the person just edited the actual NINE TAILs and it ended up being super god like.

This has happened to me on at least 3 private servers.

I'd check with your server admin to make sure this isn't the case.

I don't think so. This server doesn't have any custom monsters, quests, etc.

I'm sure it changed its element; can that skill change it to any RANDOM element or just whatever property is only hit by Neutral?

Holy 4 can be hit only by neutral/shadow/undead elements.
