Pretty much all of them, Age isn't a factor from me, I've met some pretty smart 14 year olds, And pretty dumb 20 year olds.
Though I currently don't run an RO server.

Pretty much all of them for me. Except age. I'm pretty young myself and doing quite well as a server owner, imo.

What negatively influences my opinion/choice of a person when recruiting the most would be how fluent their english is, how they present themselves, and if they are a player what they have done to help and if they broke any rules.

- Fluent english is a must because my server is an english server. So we need someone who can understand what is being asked of them, and give a response that the other person(s) can understand. Of course being fluent in other languages is always honored aslong as they speak fluent english aswell.

- How they present themselves is also another big factor. Whatever they did the first time they set foot in the server/forums till present time affects everything. No matter how skilled that person is, if they were a jackass, there chances just go down the drain.

- What the person did as a player affects things too. Because if they did nothing as a player except whine and complain instead of trying to help the problem, and if they broke rules, again, there chances just go down the drain because a GM represents the server, everything that person does affects the server as a whole. So if your GM is known as a "corrupted" player, maybe they shouldn't even be a GM at all.

To me, hiring a friend to be GM is the best because you know that person on a personal level, your good friends with them, you can trust them, and they know if they do something wrong you'll kick their donkey.
Also friends of friends is good too because if you really are good friends they would know if that person turns out to be something unexpected their donkey is on the line.

My two cents. Personal experienced included.

These two are probably the most important things I look at, when recruiting someone. It really depends on how much work the person getting hired does in that hour she/he is online. If the person has almost no skill in the area you need, why bother?

Because they are a friend, or have a nice chest?

Seriously. How many servers do you know of that GM hired his girl friend and she did a craptastic job?

I checked all the ones except the "Logging on for over 14 hours a day" and "logging on for under 1 hour a day".

As long as the person is a proper person there's no problem, I don't like having gm's on my server that "txt's liek dis" or are generally rude in their behaviour.

If I ran a server, I would be seriously disturbed if someone wanted to sit ingame and handle support inquiries over 4 hours a day. Less than one hour would make them kinda useless though. :v

Echoing what others said about the no-skill thing, it's kind of stupid to hire someone for a position if they have no skills related to that position... do people actually do that? O_o

I know a lot of GM's who don't deserve their positions cause of most of these reasons then :x. I even know an Admin or two that don't deserve it.

I checked all but the age one because I'm young too, and Probably the experience of less than 2 years one...you could be playing for like 5 years and still not know what you're doing.

I know this is gamemaster talk, and I'm just a player but nothing annoys me more when I see the new GM batch is just some people that sit in town all day and talk to the GMs. They know little to nothing about how the PVP or WoE systems run, and they're more interested in collecting hats, or rather getting them from their "friends" who actually play RO.  :-\

Is 14 year old or under: This shouldn't matter, I know a lot of 14 year old's that act maturely enough to create order. However the younger people tend to lose interest and motivation quickly.

Less than two years in RO. experience: You can learn a lot in a month, 2 months, 3 months, a year. Depends on their knowledge. Doesn't really matter about the amount of time.

Spamming on recruitment threads. This really irks my decision, because if I hire them as a GM and they go spamming on forums about us, it could really make your server look like someone who just wants a bunch of players not a specific quality of players.

Contains few RMS Posts. Unfortunately, not many people post on RMS. There's more important things to worry about.

Is from a hated nationality. Race and nationality doesn't matter. :]

Chatspeaks a lot/Has bad grammer. Yet again it can make you look really unprofessional leading more literate and other more advance players away from the server.

Has almost no skill in the area you need. If they have no skill then why hire them?

Swears a lot. Hm, Depends on if its in private with me or other GM, or if its bluntly in front of players or to players.

Says he/she logs on over 14 hours a day. Ooh Yeah watch out for these people they'll be on your server all day helping people out. :O

Says he/she logs on under 1 hour a day. Yet again, they don't have the time to GM, its not worth hiring this person.

Uses a lot of Internet memes. Well that's why you get them to have multiple accounts for each IM they have One strictly for Personal uses and the other would be for players seeking help in and out of the server. Its always best to not maximize your window screen and too keep your RO open in the bottom that way you can keep an eye on everything that goes on.

It's disgusting, imo, to think that anyone would want to devote *FOURTEEN HOURS* of their day to f*** Ragnarok Online. That leaves them ten hours to do other things like sleep, eat, and you know... live.

I'm of the camp that would rather hire people who are... you know... people. None of this Lai-esque "RO must be your life" thing, which it prettymuch is if you sit in front of the computer and insertspam on private servers for fourteen bloody hours a day.

It'd be a huge red flag to me.

But like Anti-static Fsfdsjfgishg said, most of those fourteen hours would be spend alt+tabbing and watching anime. So technically, the "time" they put into the server is wasted, since they're probably not paying attention.

But who could pay attention to whiny pinoys for so long anyway? XD

So yeah. If anyone spends over eight hours on the damned game, I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole. That's just creepy.

The only reason they're arguing the results of the poll is because they probably fall under those categories.

Realm of Ragnarok. It's dead now.

Is Below 14 Years Old
Says can play +14 hours(only I can do that)

The most I hate is people that say "I've been playing RO for 6 years and I'm 12... I've had 3 years of GMing experience." Like, seriously dude?

I'm just a player but I always get a good laugh at one thing that's not in the list.

Which is, when someone includes lines like: I'm mature, I'm friendly, I'm helpful, I'm dedicated, I'm blah blah blah..

The bad grammar part because I immediately don't think highly of them lol, and age doesn't really matter [I am 14 anyway]
And if they spam the recruitment threads...is it like they REALLY want to be a GM? or just annoying?
And I hate when people say they play 14 hours a day, I did that at one time, and would sleep all during the day lol.
