Alot gets said about GM's and admins, but for some reason the forum moderators get so little love.  SO here you go, forum mods of RO, your thread.

We have all had them, that guy/gal who just did not get it.  Could not stop swearing, did not understand what the rules said or why they applied to them, felt "Free speech" covered anything he/she decided it did. 

I will start.  For backround, our server has 6 female staff members, 3 brazilian staff members, and both the admin and head GM are female Brazilians.  This guy is currently complaining that i banned him, after he called one of the GM's a F** in the shout box.  I think a few people around here might remember his name to...

Really, just save yourself the trouble and ban him.
Then get ready to ban him again when he ban evades.

Wow, OP, I would have ended that way before there was a chance to get out of hand even a little bit.

As for forum idiots, I have not come across them on my server (yet).  Gotta knock on wood...eh....

Didn't read, kinda busy meh but, Must I point out the obvious things here?  once, good form of trying to justify a ban with us...tho..I dont care. And two, Yey server promotion tho unintended LOL.

Of  course you didn't read. Or else you wouldn't have included your "good form of trying to justify a ban with us" comment. The fact it was Zeel pretty much seals the deal with it.
Like we would have care anyway, unless it guaranteed large amounts of Nou drama.

I don't have a screenshot but there was a new player who was spamming the forums, so I deleted the spam and told him if anything else happens like this he's banned. I get my reply, "okai sirz i am sorry sirz sirz i am rlly srry for wht i did plz dun ban". So I explain to him again about the reason why I would ban him. I go to bed, I wake up the next day and theres a funny little topic in the report staff section named, "cronox". So I look at it and I see all over it, "he saiz dat jus cus i spam on de forums he can ban me, he r corruptz". I'm sure you all know where this story goes from there.

and anyway,  that person without a doubt should be banned.  In my book,  that many strikes is a permanent ban.

For the love of god, people, stop posting topics about recruiting staff on this forum, or indeed any forum. If you really feel the need to publicize the fact you're incapable of running your own server, and as such, must rely on someone you know nothing about as a crutch, be prepared to deal with the consequences, as people who go deliberately looking for GM positions are most likely as dumb as the inept server owner in question, if not moreso.

People offering paid services may or may not be screwing you over, depending on the product. Web designers? There's quite a good few out there; many take time to do their work, and charge quite a bit as a result. Just be sure you're not getting someone elses' website, rebranded for quick cash. If you hire someone to do things such as install customs for you, give up running a server. You're wasting time and letting someone take advantage of your stupidity.
