Regarding recent events happened in the forum. First I apologize for suspending the shout box until further notice. I do not want any member of this forum to feel unwelcome due to the amount of insults and attacks happen daily in the shout box. The shout box chat often go unmoderated simply because none of our staff member have the capability of looking after the shout box 24/7.
When will it be back? I will quote myself from another post:
until the user of this forum can follow the forum outlined rules/guidelines, stop attacking new member or any other and an observable stop to i-dont-need-to-follow-your-rule-moderator-can-go-away-i-do-what-i-want speeches/actions.
Yes, a few people ruined the fun for everybody. You can say that and that's how it work here. Sorry for any inconvenience but it is done for a good intension. Hopefully we can make it less fruitful for those i-dont-need-to-follow-your-rule-moderator-can-go-away-i-do-what-i-want members.
Regarding JJJ's suitability as a moderator. It is an internal matter of this forum. As much as freedom of speech is appreciated in this forum, a moderator's job is not up for discussion. That is off the limit of free speech because it will affect JJJ, his job and the way the forum readers sees him in the future.
Simply put, how would you feel if your boss, your co-workers and your clients all get together and judge your work performance. In front of everybody in the company. This is not the right way to report this matter. If you have a problem with any of our staff, you should private message your concern to either me or Riotblade. With as much details as possible, proof/example would help too.
Or if that's a too hard of an example to understand. Imagine if we allow topics in the suggestion section where one member can suggest "can we ban <your name here>". If you have enough enemy in the forum, surely the topic will eventually sound like you should be banned a long time ago. Manipulation works.
A staff removable can't be as simple as making a suggestion and get a few people to tell their bad experience. How is this fair, especially there is always the chance where those that appreciated his work might not make a post of appreciation but those that had an unpleasant experience will all jump in.
Based on what I read today. I've talked to JJJ and I gave him further guidance on doing his job. I will observe his work in the future. I will mention this once again. If anyone think he/she is going to do a good job moderating this forum, feel free to send in a resume and tell me why in private message. I will post the resume in the staff area and consider them seriously with my staff.
That's all I need to say for now. Start a flame/troll/spam right here and I will sure delete/lock.
Thank you for reading.
